3 best lodge induction cookwares
Lodge is a well-known brand that specializes in the manufacturing of cast iron cookware, including skillets, pots, and pans. Cast iron cookware is renowned for its durability, heat retention, and even heating properties. Lodge's induction cookware is particularly designed to be compatible with induction stovetops, which use electromagnetic fields to generate heat for cooking.
Induction cookware, including skillets, pots, and pans, is made with a magnetic base that allows it to heat up efficiently on induction stovetops. The base is usually made of ferrous materials, like iron or steel, to ensure it can interact with the induction surface and heat the cookware.
Lodge's induction-compatible cookware offers the benefits of traditional cast iron cookware, such as excellent heat retention and even cooking, while being suitable for modern induction cooking. It allows for precise temperature control and rapid heating, making it convenient for various cooking techniques.
When using Lodge induction cookware, it's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper seasoning, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure the longevity and performance of the cookware. Regularly seasoning the cookware helps create a non-stick surface and enhances its durability.
Overall, Lodge's induction cookware is a reliable and popular choice for those seeking durable, high-quality cast iron cookware that can be used on induction stovetops.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use this on a glass top electric stove |
Answer: | Yes you can. |
Question: | I just received this griddle; it doesn't seem that the bottom will actually touch my induction cooktop. Will it work if it doesnt touch the surface |
Answer: | Works great on our induction cooktop on either side. Heats very rapidly if you want, but of course the way to heat cast iron is slowly so it comes to the temp you want to cook at. Cast iron is of course way better than the clad cookware that can get loud from vibrations as the different layers absorb the magnetic energy at different rates. This also doubles as a great defrosting plate from stuff from the freezer. Your great-great grandchildren will be glad you bought this as they're using it. |
Question: | Will this work on glass top |
Answer: | According to www.lodgemfg.com, it will work on your glass cooktop. It does say however to not slide the cast iron on the glass top. This link should give you more answers. http://www.lodgemfg.com/useandcare/seasoned-cast-iron |
Question: | How well does this griddle work on electric stoves |
Answer: | Be careful, cast iron can scratch your glass top stove but it will work on it! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it normal for the lid to be so much rougher then the pan itself |
Answer: | You have to turn on manually by tightening. Not hard to do but can be tedious if you have many. We set them up the day before our event. Then a couple hours before the event we had one person run and simply twist them on. No biggie. |
Question: | What is the exact diameter of the inside rim of the lid? Thank you |
Answer: | I tried doing that when we set them up, but they tip to the side a little. In other words, they won't stand straight vertically. It's due to the bottom not being flat. If you don't mind them on an angle, it will work. Or, maybe you can sit each one on a base of some sort that would allow it to be verticle. |
Question: | How do you measure the size of the pan to match the lid - by the bottom or the top or the pan |
Answer: | No |
Question: | I have a 3sk #2 lodge cast iron skillet. it is 5” on the bottom and 6 on top. will this fit it |
Answer: | I had them on for 48 hours straight and they were still working, I shut them off when I put them away after that. Long battery life for sure!! Plus they came with a bunch of extra batteries! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the skillet fit on top of the Dutch Oven as a lid? Could I put my bread dough on the skillet then the DO over that and have it sealed |
Answer: | I don't know about it being normal. I do know that the lid I rcv'd is a pretty good match texturally for the cauldron/pot that I purchased separately. They are not exactly smooth iron. They feel as one would expect them to feel. If your lid is very rough you may want to exchange it. I hope this helps. |
Question: | Can you use these cast iron pieces on a glass stovetop |
Answer: | 3 and 7/8's inch on the inside but there is a lip for the lid to sit on the pot. And the rim is 4 and 3/8. The outside of lid is 5 inches. Hope this helps. |
Question: | When you grease the cookware how do you store it to keep the grease from becoming rancid |
Answer: | I purchased the pans from the company that sells the lids . So when I was ready to purchase the lids, I was able to refer to my sales receipt for the pans to determine the size of the lids that would fit. |
Question: | Mine got rusty from sitting around, what can I do about it , if anything |
Answer: | No, It would not fit. |
