Answer:	No none of the name brand pans are made in the US. They r made by Meyer corp. They r very nice I really like them. U will b hard pressed to find pans made in USA. F or bakeware u could get some USA pans manufactured in Pittsburg . If u r looking for stainless steel pans this farberware is very nice, heavy duty and will last a lifetime. They r made in china like everything else.

Answer:	The seller of this product has to be incorrect. Farberware Millenium is an 18/10 stainless steel, the 10 stands for 10% nickel. Most of the good brands are either 18/10 or 18/8. Rarely do you find 18/0 and if you do it is far more expensive.

Answer:	I beleive the metels are from China,but at this point just about everything is made in China,this product at one time was made here in the states,but like everything else most of our products are from China,thanks to all our great corporations that don't make enough money here they sent most of it to China, Mexico and were ever else they can get something made for such cheap labor,but all in all it did turn out to be so far a pretty good product,I would recomend it,it still has a very good name ,Farberware has been around a very long time,we still have a few pots from 30 years ago that are still working for us,my wife refuses to get rid of them,so at this point the price was right,the product is good,I say go for it.

Answer:	Yes; twist the lid properly on the pegs, and it will lock to drain.
Question:	Can this pan be used on an induction burner
Answer:	The 18/10, 18/8 refers to the chromium and nickel content of the material. These numbers indicate the 304 grade of stainless. The 18 is the percentage of chromium and the 8 is the amount of nickel in the metal, by percentage. The 10 indicates 10%. There has to be a minimum of 50% iron and no more than 0.8% carbon. The nickel adds strength, with 8% being slightly less durable than the 10%. There are other elements that go into the making of stainless steel. This pot has an aluminum core with the stainless being built around that. The aluminum allows for better heat transfer. I will go out on a limb here. Without being able to contact Farberware, I believe the pot has the 18/8 because the manufacturer did not state the actual percentage. I have had my pot for almost a year. It could not be any better unless I had two of them. It has served me very well. John

Question:	Is this a 10 inch pan
Answer:	Not at all! I bought this to replace one I had for forty years as part of a set. My set had a 10” frying pan as well as a Dutch oven. The covers were interchangeable. This is definitely short of 10”. The material is thin and light weight, and the cover edge is semi sharp. Believe me, there is no such thing as “Farberware” any more.
Question:	how many quarts does this hold
Answer:	I agree with S.R. Schnur - 2.5 quarts, it's pretty much full to the top at 2-3/4. I'd be much more comfortable with 1-1/2 quarts (note: we're not talking cups) if I'm bubbling marinara at more than a simmer.

Answer:	Functional as well as beautiful, this Fry Pan Set is made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The pans have an aluminum core in its base to spread heat quickly and evenly. The core is completely clad in stainless steel so, like the rest of the pan, the bottom resists corrosion and discoloring and cleans up easily.

Answer:	Yes. Unlike the older version of Farberware pans when the aluminum bottoms were not covered with a layer of other metal as is the case with these.
Question:	what is the difference between this generation of stainless farberware and the farberware
Answer:	I have a complete set of Farberware Classic from 1972 and another from 2014. Those from 1972 are aluminum clad. The thick bottoms are a dull finish. These have held up great, and are still in use. The bigger 1972 pots have a slightly larger diameter than the 2014 ones. In other words, the lids are not interchangeable with the newer generation.The 2014 pans have basically the same quart capacities. They are a bit taller and the diameter is a bit smaller. These seem to fit better on the smaller ceramic/induction cook-tops. They are also very flat which is required by these newer burners. If you are using a gas range, you will be fine either way. The 2014 pots have an aluminum disk that is attached to the bottom of the pans. The new disk is coated in stainless steel and will remain shiny. I do not use non-stick skillets. Both generations of the Farbersware stainless pots, pans & skillets are quality made and heavy. Again the 2014 diameters are slightly smaller. If you are mixing sets, remember that the lids will not be interchangeable.

Answer:	My mother always said that if you cannot find something turn a glass over and it will show up soon! However, the lid sizes are something that you should write to Farberware about! It is something that I do not really know, but if you need a lid of 8 inches in size you can go and get one at your nearest store which sells separate pieces. The person who answered the question before me was correct in the sizes!

Answer:	Nope! It has a chrome piece inlaid for a nice look. The handles are quite safe. You can even put the piece's in the oven to keep warm at 170° ,but of course one would use a pot holder to remove from the oven. Hope this helped you.
