Answer:	I can't really answer that question because I don't have any cast iron skillets. It seems pretty stout and I have stainless steel pans with glass lids in mine.

Question:	Would it be safe to install over a stove
Answer:	It is pretty sturdy, an mine is mounted on a wall near the stove. If you use anchors rated for over 50 pounds, or can locate a stud in the wall that you can screw at least one side down into, then it should fit ok. I have usually got up to 10 pans hanging on it with two big spaghetti pans on the shelf. The hooks sometimes fall off when I am taking a pan down for use. This could be unexpected behavior. The hooks could drop into what you’re cooking.

Answer:	I have 4 big cast irons hanging from the bottom one. However I used stronger anchors to the wall, not the ones it came with. I’m sure you can put more. I’m really happy with it.
Question:	What kind/size screws are needed for this to hang on drywall? I have this rack already. I moved recently and no longer her the original screws
Answer:	I would not anchor this on drywall. Instead, get a board (minimum 1/2 inch thick) and secure it to studs using 2.5 to 3 inch drywall type screws. Note, get a nice looking board, pine is alright to use, I would not use plywood, but you can if you want. Now, just to be clear, locate the studs using a small drill bit and drill holes about an inch apart across your wall until you hit a stud. Drill these holes in the area where you plan to mount the rack. Once you find one stud, the next one will be easier to find, i.e., studs in walls are either 12 , 18, or 24 inches center to center; so measure (probably 18 inches) from the first stud to the next one and drill a hole; if you hit a stud great, if not try drilling a hole about 1/2 an inch on either side of the first hole. If you still don't find a stud, try to locate one at 24 inches, etc.. Don't worry about all the little holes you have drilled in order to locate the studs, i.e., you can mud and paint them over, or just cover them with the board. Once you have located the 2 studs, using the aforementioned screws, screw through the board, through the drywall and into the studs using 4 screws; 2 in each stud (or more if you want). Note that, studs run perpendicular to the floor, using a level, you can locate where the 2 screws should be. Note, the rack has two holes on each side used for mounting the rack to the wall: Knowing this, you can use 2 boards, one for the top row of mounting holes and one for the bottom, or, you can use just one board depending on what you like. Also, you can paint, stain, or leave natural. Pay attention to aesthetics. Insure that the board is level after mounting; use a tape measure to determine where to put the screws, i.e., place the top ones the same distance from the top od the board and do the same for the bottom ones, etc.. Now you can center your rack on the board (making sure it is level) and mount it (using the same type screws, 3/4 inch ones should be enough) securely to the board without having to worry that it will fall off the wall when weight is added. Answer:	I didn’t use adhesive strips. I screwed it in to the wall with anchors which was easy. I did this because I gave quite a few pots and pans hanging from it and works very well. Personally I would not recommend adhesive pads, I not sure they would work well in the long term.

Question:	The dimensions in the pics and the ones in the description don’t match. what are the exact dimensions of the rack itself, specifically width? thanks
Answer:	7 5/8" (19.5cm) wide including side protrusions. 7 1/4" (18.5cm) high or deep, depending on how you position the rack. 5 1/2" (14cm) from rack front to shelf front or top of rack to top of shelf (keep in mind that the round edge of the pan will fit into the rack opening too). 1 3/8" (3.5cm) depth of rack itself (not including shelf). 11 7/8" (30.25cm) long outer rack, inner rack is slightly shorter. 23 1/8" (58.75cm) fully extended. Every side slot you see allows you to adjust length of rack and position of each divider, so any space larger than 11 7/8" will fit. Or you can use it as 2 separate racks. Very customizable. Rack can be placed vertically, but I would mount it to cabinet with a screw through one of the side slots for stability. That would also allow you to use the cabinet shelf to hold the bottom pan giving you the extra shelf.

Answer:	hi! it depends on the hardware you use to install it.. and if you go into a stud it can certainly hold a lot! i have sturdy anchors in mine, and one side is in a stud. i’m comfortable storing a lot on mine including a heavy pressure cooker, a stack of large bowls, and 6 pots/pans.

Answer:	Yes Elise, I've tried it with a class top lid with an 1" deep metal edge they r not Calphalon tho. It fits great. This a good sturdy pot lid holder but keep in mind it takes up space in the cabinet itself.
