These manuals are crucial for users to understand the features and functionality of their espresso machines and ensure they are used effectively and safely.
Typically, espresso machine manuals include sections on:

Question: | How is this different from the Signature model |

User questions & answers
Question: | I can see that there is another small cup there to make milk foam. Is that milk froather? Is that include in this selling package |
Answer: | Smart Start heats then brews in one simple process. No need to wait for the brewer to heat before selecting brew size. Power on your brewer, add coffee, then select your brew size. The brewer will heat, then automatically begin brewing. Clock allows you to set an Auto On time. Unit only takes 45 seconds or less to heat up, and I brew one cup only, so I never use Auto On (timer). If this unit is on and warm, it takes about 60 seconds to brew a cup of coffee. Having this brew the coffee before you are up and ready to drink it is a waste of time because it might be cool before you get there. There is no pot and no warmer like in a drip coffee maker. It does not need one. Press to start, butter your toast, drink your HOT coffee. The big timesaver is the huge reservoir that allows you to make eight or more cups of coffee without having to refill it. The K elite will change the way you think about making coffee in the morning. It is that convenient. |
Question: | how hot is the actual espresso when it is ready |
Answer: | It's really not needed. I own a K575, which has a touch screen, and I think that this is much simpler. Plus no touchscreen to dirty up with fingerprints. This machine is simpler, and I believe that's one of its selling points. Should one really need to be choose a wallpaper for the screen of their coffee maker too? On the other hand, if you want to be able to tell the time by looking at your coffee maker, something you can easily do with several of the Keurig 2.0 machines, though the K-Elite has a digital time display, it can only be viewed by looking down on the machine from above. So if that's important to you this machine might not be a good choice. |
Question: | My 9 month Staresso Base material has cracked from normal use in several places and it clearly brittle. Is there a way to fix this material problem |
Answer: | Yes! This new Keurig machine is not a "2.0" Keurig. It does not have any DRM to prevent you from using whatever k-cup you desire. This machine is very reminiscent of the older Breville BKC700XL machine, except it provides separate button for each cup size plus it has options for "iced coffee", strong brew, and high-altitude brew. |
Question: | Cleaning the metal basket according to instructions, the black rubber gasket and the black plastic disc/filter do not re-assemble! Any ideas |
Answer: | I own both of he machines you're asking about. Differences are: The K575 is a "Keurig 2.0" machine, so it uses an optical detector to prevent you from using non-licensed k-cups. The K575 has a larger reservoir. The K575 has the ability to us the Keurig carafe, as well as the larger pods (which sounds like an advantage, but good luck finding those larger k-cup pods anywhere except the web). The K575 has a color digital display. The K-Elite has a high-altitude brew setting, is a much simpler machine, and seems to be built rock-solid. Of the two machines, I much prefer the K-Elite. It is smaller and a little more quiet than the K575. Plus without the DRM stuff it's simpler internally. In my opinion it is probably the best Keurig machine for home use built to date. And if you shop around you may be able to buy this unit for as low as $125, much less than I've ever seen the K575. |

Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | As of 2010, all Gaggia espresso and coffee machines are still manufactured in Milan at the Robecco sul Naviglio factory. The 2015 Gaggia Classic was built in Romania instead. The New Gaggia Classic is made in Italy again and uses an aluminum boiler. Gardenia doesn't know what he/she/it is talking about. |

Question: | Anyone know the actual size of this machine? The specs say 8 x 9.5 x 9.5 in but I'm sure that is not correct. Thanks |
Answer: | Thank you for pointing this out! The correct dimensions are 8 x 9.5 x 14.2 in. |
Question: | Is this a great machine? I seen reviews on this and this machine came out recently |

The Barista Express by Breville, BES870XL
Create great tasting espresso in less than a minute. The Barista Express allows you to grind the beans right before extraction, and its interchangeable filters and a choice of automatic or manual operation ensure authentic cafe style results in no time at all.
The 4 keys formula for third wave specialty coffee at home:
1. Rich, full flavor
Full-bodied coffee with rich and complex flavors is created using the right dose of 19-22g of freshly ground beans. This dose allows the coffee to fully express the incredible aroma, intense flavors and distinctive character of the coffee, for a true cafe quality result. Anything less than the optimal dose results in a weak and watery taste experience.
2. Perfectly balanced taste
Sweet, delicious and nuanced flavor notes begin with precise control over water temperature. Digital temperature control (PID) technology precisely controls water temperature for a perfectly balanced coffee extraction, giving you the control and consistency for delicious tasting coffee every time.
3. Irresistible body
An opulent, creamy and caramel-colored espresso starts with low pressure pre-infusion that soaks the grinds, allowing water to pass evenly through the coffee during the high pressure (9 bar) extraction process, delivered via our 15 bar Italian pump. This results in a rich, sweet and viscous espresso.
4. Silky, velvety mouthfeel
Savor the silky taste and velvety mouthfeel of true microfoam milk. The milk is steamed with pressure that creates thousands of tiny bubbles, enhancing flavor and mouthfeel, while the temperature brings out the milk’s sweetness, exciting your taste buds, for a harmonious blend of rich, sweet milk and syrupy, golden espresso.
Dose-Control Grinding
Integrated conical burr grinder grinds on-demand to deliver the right amount of freshly ground coffee directly into the portafilter for your preferred taste with any roast of bean.
Grind Size Dial
Simple and intuitive, giving you control over the grind size no matter what type of bean you're grinding.
Precise Espresso Extraction
Digital temperature control delivers water at precisely the right temperature, ensuring optimal espresso extraction.
Micro-Foam Milk Texturing
The steam wand performance allows you to hand texture micro-foam milk that enhances flavor and enables creation of latte art.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I purchase just the porta filter |
Answer: | If the opening of the top of yours is 19.33x9.65. or 19 5/16x 9 5/16 it will fit |
Question: | What accessories does it come with |
Answer: | The mfg. states to measure your tank to the closest millimeter and gives the dimensions as: . If your tank edge is smaller than the dimensions given by the mfg. which are 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in (49.1 x 24.5 x 0.4cm), it may fit. I suggest it should be smaller by at least 1/4" or more on each side in order to not fall into the tank. It will slide on the top though and it does get wet so I would not recommend this size for a rimless tank. |

Perhaps it's not surprising that an Italian company such as La Pavoni takes its espresso and cappuccino very seriously. The detailed manual and video that come with this professional-style machine spare no small detail while guiding you through the espresso and cappuccino process. With proper equipment, La Pavoni argues, including very fine grounds and a state-of-the art machine, an espresso or cappuccino can be a work of art. Because cafe prices are rising and an improperly made espresso is indistinguishable from mud, it's worth investing the time and equipment required for a rich and truly satisfying espresso experience. For me, one thing that separates a barista-style cappuccino from many homemade efforts is the quality of the foam. The Europiccola produces foam with just right amount of frothiness, although the foam can also be controlled if you prefer less enthusiastic frothing. For top-quality cappuccinos, the machine should be descaled four or five times a year (descaling instructions are included). Made of gleaming chrome, this strikingly attractive machine should not be cleaned with abrasives. --Laura Cuthbert
Editor's note: This item may arrive with water inside from the manufacturer's pressure test. This is a normal occurrence and doesn't point to a problem with the machine.
- Professional-style machine
- Attractive chrome base
- Great steaming mechanism for cappuccinos
- Comes with detailed instructions and an instructional video
- Power 1000W. Voltage: 120V
User questions & answers
Question: | We have hard water issues. Can the machine descaled |
Answer: | Yes it can. Sesttle Coffee Gear has a "how to" video. I think they were using dezcale. I use distilled water in my machine, as I have in my other machines, with no problems & no scaling issues. |
Question: | Reveiwers have commented that the PC-8 would only produce a few shots before becoming too hot, is that also the case with the PC-16? I drink 4-6 shots first thing in the morning and need to know if this type of machine is the best fit |
Answer: | It also does....The 16 is larger, holds more water and subsequently a greater volume of steam. The heating elements are the same. TBH if you are drinking 4-6 doubles you will spend 25 minutes making those once you know what you are doing. The overheating issue is a novice persons issue, this is not a "put coffee in, get coffee out" machine, it requires a bit of learned skill to know when to turn the switch off to allow sufficient cooling as you make successive shots. So the "becoming too hot" is moot once you know what it is and why you avoid that issue. Avoiding shots made by too hot a machine soon become part of your technique to making good coffee. On another note, i found as my technique got better i required LESS coffee drunk per day as what i was making was by far some of the best coffee ive had and therefore didnt want to spoil the after taste by going overboard. |
Question: | Thinking coffee cart for my 50 person company. They come in waves from 6-8. How long does it take to cool down before i can add more water |
Answer: | not a good idea for a company machine. you can expect about 8-10 coffees max out of it, at a go, depending on the technique and it has a very very steep learning curve. If someone forgets to put water into it, its toast. But its a fantastic machine for those that know how to use it. |
Question: | can you tell me the time it takes to pull 2 shots, thinking of a coffee cart |
Answer: | It doesn't take long to pull 2 shots--maybe 20 sec. The problem is it takes about 10 min to heat the water, and you can't add water without waiting for the unit to cool down enough to remove the cap on the reservoir. It would be a very poor choice for a coffee cart! |

La Pavoni Professional Line of Lever Espresso Machines
The La Pavoni Professional espresso maker is a a combination of style, quality and reliability. Available in various styles and finishes. The machine is largely constructed of chrome plated brass and is built to last. The base of the espresso machine is made of steel and is triple copper and brass plated on the outside and features wood handles. The inside of the base has has a light polish to prevent problems due to moisture. The large boiler ensures that lime scale deposits have minimal effect, meaning minimum maintenance is needed.
By lifting the lever, a piston inside the group is raised, allowing water under pressure to infuse the coffee in the filter holder. User questions & answers
Question: | Which size Tamper should I use if I want to use extra tamper |
Answer: | Get a 51-mm tamper. |
Question: | How long between shots will I need to wait? Can I use this when entertaining guests |
Answer: | Almost immediately; maybe 5 to 10 seconds max. The water in the boiler is already hot, so it only takes seconds to bring the temperature back up after one shot of water is used. By the time you get rid of the puck or used pod and reload the filter, the green temperature light is back on , and you are ready to brew another shot. I do this when making double shots, as getting 2 pods into the filter is difficult and the pump strains to push the water through the extra paper of 2 pods. If you want to brew doubles without having to reload the filter, I recommend using loose grounds, but that's messier than using pods. I prefer the pods, and reloading. Using it for guests should not be a problem. |
Question: | Why buy this model vs the BAR 155 or |
Answer: | This was terribly complicated to use. You HAD to have the correct cup, which is very, small and nothing I wanted to fool with. Eventually I decided to look for a frother alone to heat milk & make my normal coffee. I LOVE THIS FROTHER. THE NAME IS "Capresso". You can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond or Amazon. Works great! |
Question: | Is it outside all in stainless still |
Answer: | The machine is about 80% stainless steel and the rest silver coloured plastic. |
