Answer:	Glycerin is a byproduct of the soap making process. Sometimes the soap companies will scoop out the glycerin and sell it separately to make more money. Others like this one leave them in.
Question:	How is static cling on the grinder body or grounds container? (my cuisinart and bodum both generate static.) is there any cord storage
Answer:	the soap is about 2 1/2 by 2 1/2. you should have no problem fitting the soap in a vertical soap holder. good luck.

Answer:	It is almost square. Its hard soap but you might be able to cut it with a knife and a hammer. It might not come out perfect but that does not affect its functionality.

Question:	Hello. i am looking for the owner's manual for this coffee grinder. can anyone share
Answer:	I've been using it with my Aeropress and a drip machine at work. Works great with the Aeropress, you can fine tune the heck out of the grind and it stays even, much more so than with a blade grinder. I paid for my grinder, but have been invited to Amazon Vine program and just recieved a french press to try out and just brewed my first batch using Nani's San Francisco blend beans with the OXO Brew on 13 (middle of coarse settings). I've been going keto with my diet, so heavy whiping cream and no sugar... tastes really good. I think if you plan on making good coffee, this is worth the investment. Wow, for a first shot at using a french press... that came out good.
Question:	where is it made
Answer:	We’ve had this grinder for a couple of years and do struggle with static cling around the hopper. We also have found this model so hard to clean that today it actually went in the trash - not because it quit grinding but between the clinging mess and the difficulty cleaning it, both of which cause lingering stray grounds all over the place we had just had enough. There’s got to be a better way. And by the way although I can’t compare the noise to any other models, I can say this one is loud enough to drive the dog and the toddlers from the room.

Answer:	These other answers are ridiculous. I've had the grinder for 18 mos. Works great - but it's pretty loud. I'm not sure it's louder than other grinders, but these answers that say "pretty quiet" and "very quiet" are totally off base. Works great. Not "very or pretty" quiet
Question:	What is the material of the bottom container the grounds fall into? Plastic develops a charge that causes grounds to jump out and make a mess
Answer:	Yes. Amazon is overrun these days by fake reviews and it's only slightly better if they disclose they received a free product in exchange (as I do think a reviewer's time is worth something). I am now in the habit of going to a 3rd party, like Fakespot, to see if fake reviews are influencing overall rating of product. As of March 2019, Fakespot gave this product a "C" rating. I also like to read some of the middle grades to see what people like / hate about a product because most balanced reviews are going to have both positive and negative things to say.

Question:	Can it be used as a grain mill
Answer:	This thing has been a workhorse! I use it for grinding whole oats with hulls (sometimes sunflower seeds too) to make up horse feed 2x a day. I grind 4-5 cups each feeding with the setting on coarse, and after almost 2 1/2 years it is just now getting a little dull and heating up to where it quits on me toward the end of the 5th cup. I am getting ready to purchase again even though the first one is still working... just not quite as well. It has never let me down! I have been very happy, considering I have not been using it for its intended use.
Question:	Is it OK to put a small amount of coffee in the hopper (e.g., enough for one cup) and let the timer turn off after the hopper has been depleted
Answer:	Probably, but you're far better off using a simple blade grinder such as the Krups. I have a fancy burr grinder that I use for drip, but for my AeroPress I use my Krups oval shaped electric blade grinder. It's under $20 and has been a workhorse for years. When doing my morning cup with my AeroPress (which I highly recommend) there is zero heat build up (see later) for the 17g - 19g that I grind, and zero mess. I grind, tip it over and give it a tap, that's it, no cleanup. Some grounds stick to the inside of the grinder, but I leave them there, no need to scrape them out as they don't interfere with the freshly ground coffee. The AeroPress works best with finely ground coffee so a blade grinder is ideal. If you're doing one cup at a time you don't need a burr grinder. Don't listen to anyone that says you do because it's a myth perpetrated all over the place, but completely baseless. There's hardly any heat generated in the ten seconds it takes to grind with a blade grinder.
Question:	I've heard this is not a conical burr. can anyone that is not this seller please tell me if it is actually conical or flat like the other cuisinart
Answer:	There's some confusion here about burr types. This uses a "block" burr, which has some similarities to flat burrs but is vastly inferior. Flat burrs can theoretically be the most consistent, but in practice conical burrs can be just as good in quality grinders. Block burrs are cheap junk, barely better than blade grinders.
Question:	is this a conical burr grinder
Answer:	It’s a ceramic flat burr.As for espresso whine, gee, no these machines will not do for high end $$$ espresso machines, spent the $200 plus and stop being cheap, aka whining. This one is OK, just acceptable for my cheap espresso machine. The Bodum BISTRO Burr Grinder, Electronic Coffee Grinder does a better job for espresso in the under $100 range of this ilk, but still will not be up to the standards of whiners. It is odd it doesn’t do coarse ground well, the grid isn’t uniform. The Bodim is conical.

Answer:	Assuming you mean them being able to hear you, I've never had any complaints. My voice comes through pretty clear but definitely not as clear as if I was talking straight into the phone though. I would say that as long as you're not a really quiet talker, your window's not open or you don't have a louder than average car then they should be able to hear you fine.

Answer:	Dunno where it’s made, I’d guess china. It grinds well, very even. But it makes a mess. The mesh point between the ground canister and the grinder isn’t snug enough and grounds go everywhere each time you take it out to put grounds into coffee maker. If I had a do-over I’d buy a more expensive model, hopefully one that was manufacturer more precisely.

Answer:	The coursest setting is far too fine. I don't like it for pour-over and it would be awful for French press. I can't imagine it working well for cold brew.

Answer:	I used to have this problem with another brand of grinder. I used a long narrow strip of Al foil stuck in the ground coffee container of the unit and the other end lying on a damp sponge or towel on the counter. This disperses the static electricity and largely eliminates the problem. YMMV

Question:	Should I buy the lighter weight black model or the heavier stainless steel model
Answer:	This is a classical example of Amazon's unreliable reviewing. The reviews are indiscriminately about two different products. One is 11.6 inches tall, the other is 13 inches tall. One (or both) is getting bad reviews for things like static discharge in the plastic grounds collector. I came here intending to buy a burr grinder and interested in buying a grinder/percolator. After wading through Amazon's useless reviews, I'm buying neither. Off to Target, where I can get comparable prices and reliable information.

Question:	Anyone have any tips in keeping a cleaner work area? This setup seems to leave grounds dropping down every time I remove the bin
Answer:	It is not easy to clean properly. I have had for 6 months and it stopped grinding. I called customer support which is excellent and they sent me a link with a video on how to clean the discharge shoot which has a 90 degree bend in it. It was clogged and prevented the coffee from dispensing. Must be a common problem if they have a video to send out. You have to really wiggle the wire end of the cleaning brush at the right spot to get the port unclogged. I used my shop vac, angled allen wrenches (which they suggest) and pushing from top and bottom finally got it unclogged. Love it when it works. Ordered those cleaning tablets and will use every two weeks. Will also clean out the port every two weeks. I use Black Rifle coffee which is delicious and has high oil content in the beans. Went 6 months with out a problem. The port clogging should be covered in the owner manual imho. Again - customer service was excellent.
Question:	Why do reviews seem to be disappearing ? it said there were 2% 1 star reviews...i clicked on the 2% line and it said none available. hmm
Answer:	I measure the beans with a coffee scoop before putting them in the grinder. Works fine, but if you are used to a timer, it may take awhile to get it down. The knob on the side can be turned a lot or a little. If you are unsure, put less beans in than you think you will need. I don't like leaving beans in the grinder. I've been very happy with my grinder. I bought the Precisio after returning the Encore as I do all different coffee preparations. I think the "timing" mechanisms are the same on both.

Answer:	We can easily get espresso grinds at #4 where we like it. We use Peet’s Espresso Forte, and the results have bee consistently excellent for many years. The grind on this machine matches the grind we used to get in-store. We were surprised by the accuracy of the calibration. A #3 grind pulls a bit too slow, while a #6 pulls a bit faster than we like.

Question:	What are the burrs made of ? Ceramic, stainless steel,carbon steel,zinc alloy, or what
Answer:	Great headphones but no, they do not fold.
Question:	Have you noticed if coffee grinds collect in the shoot
Answer:	You do not need to switch. I think people are trying to use these like the 35 headphones. Which is why the are getting frustrated. Unlike those, you are not forced to switch between devices. It will automatically remember the last 8 devices you paired with. And if the device you want to pair with is set up to connect with it, it will do so automatically. It even will stay connected with two devices at the same time. These are much “smarter” technology than the 35.
Question:	Is it possible to buy a replacement clear plastic part? My sister dropped and cracked that part, but still uses the machine. Want to replace it
Answer:	It will work, but probably not well. They have a problem that keeps them from working reliably on Zoom, Teams, or other video conferencing software when connected to Windows PCs or Macs. There is supposed to be a firmware update to fix this, but the first one that came out (1.4) caused worse problems, so they recalled it, and they have only promised a new version (1.5) but I haven't been able to actually find it anywhere as of Sept 13, 2020. Bose support is worse than useless. I'm giving up and returning them.
Question:	Can the burrs be removed for cleaning
Answer:	I found these to sound better. It may be because the Noise Reduction is slightly better. I have the QC35's and the Sony wh-1000xm3's. I find the Bose 700's to be superior to both even if you consider the sound quality of these to be equal due to the other features. The multipoint bluetooth makes them more attractive than the Sony's. The passthrough is simply amazing. With the headphones on it sounds as if you're not wearing headphones. I no longer use any other headphones. If it's not raining I'll even take them outside because I can hear safely. I just received the Echo Buds and love them. They are my backup when it's raining (I live in Seattle).
