Answer:	I'll put my two cents in. I bought this very set more than 7 years ago. One broke but the other has remained in one piece. I can't think of a better drinking glass on this earth. I can finally buy two more. I never wash it in the dishwasher nor do I stir or use with a metal spoon. I pretty much prepare the coffee and pour into this glass. I've also poured soda water, beer, wine, lemonade, tea, bean soup in it, everything tastes great for much longer than in any other cup and it stays hot more minutes than with any other glass except of course for a thermos. They are making these a little tougher so I expect this next set to last longer, together :). Worth every penny, I protect it with attention and care.

Answer:	Most people find you need to add more coffee grounds to cold brew than if making hot coffee. I usually use somewhere around 40oz of water and 1 cup of ground coffee to make it the proper strength. If you use the classic 1 table spoon per cup you will end up with a very weak product that is closer to tea than coffee.

Black Tea

Answer:	Mine has also stopped. It now makes a terrible sound when I turn it on, so clearly there is power, but it does not grind. This one lasted right at 2 years, my previous one (same model) only a few months. Time for me to find a new brand.
Question:	Does it have a setting for how many cups to grind
Answer:	On the lid is a diagram showing general conversions for seconds & cups depending on what grind you want. We grind with the setting just right of the middle and for one 20 second grind and one 5 second grind for 12 cups. Note, empty it after the first 20 second grind or the grind cup may overflow. You'll need to experiment with amount of coffee ground and grind setting for your taste.
Question:	If I break the glass receiver can I replace it
Answer:	The replacement part from Bodum is https://www.bodum.com/us/en/01-10903-01-32-component but it has been out of stock for 3 months. I emailed Bodum to complain because NOTHING takes three months to manufacturer. They said it will be in stock in June. To reply to another poster there IS NO LIST you can get on. Bodums solution? Check their web site daily and hope that "out of stock" changes to "in stock" and the hundreds of other people doing the same don't turn "in stock" back to "out of stock" before you know it. What a CRAPPY company to do business with.

Answer:	When I was buying my Bistro I found useful the review from coffeegearathome.com. They leaned for the Bodum bistro because:"It has a larger bean catcher capacity (11 oz vs only 4 oz for the Capresso).The Borosilicate glass is more helpful than you might think. It leads to less clean-up after grinding, that's always a plus!The silicone lid on the coffee ground container is a great addition to save the coffee for a longer time."The only advantage they found for the Capresso was that it has more grinding settings (16 compared wirh the 14 of the Bodum). All the time I have been using the Bodum, I can not imagine how 2 settings more would make it better or even be needed. The Bistro is an excellent choice.
