Question:	Is this oil refined at all? I noticed it has a high smoke point
Answer:	The Smoke Point is the temperature when an oil starts to give off smoke. Baja Precious Organic Sunflower Oil will start giving off smoke at 440F, which is quite high. Some oils start giving off smoke between 225-350F. Unrefined sunflower oil has a smoke point around 225F (just above boiling point of water). To get up to a smoke point of 440F some filtering or refining needs to happen to remove impurities to increase the temperature when smoke is first seen. So, this oil has been filtered/refined to allow a higher cooking temperature without giving off smoke.

Answer:	It can be considered cold-pressed as long as temperature is below 120 ºF. Yes, these are high oleic sunflower seeds, as reflected by the approx. 80% monounsaturated fat content of the oil.

Answer:	Thank you for your question! Our Sunflower Oil is expeller-pressed and refined, using a natural process. While the refinement process removes gums, non-fatty materials, water soluble pigments and acidic pigments, the end result is an oil which is lighter in body, color and scent. Due to some of the elements being removed from the oil (the gums, non-fatty materials, etc.), some of the nutritional properties are removed as well. As our oils are intended for external use and in alignment with Ayurvedic tradition, we don't standardize our oils or herbal products.

Answer:	I've used this as a massage oil for my clients but not with the intention of preventing or lightening stretch marks. However, sunflower oil in general is known for this and this is 100% sunflower oil.
