Answer:	Under the care instructions that came with mug "Wash the coffee mug before first use, handwash the coffee mug with mild dish soap. Remove gasket from lid for thorough cleaning. Dry gasket before reinstalling." I have found it to be easy to clean by handwashing. No real crevices a very smooth surface. Gasket fits well but easy to remove and replace for cleaning. I didn't see anything stating it was dishwasher safe. My favorite mug to use. Hope this helps.

Answer:	In my opinion the chef's knife is the best of all knives to have. I use it for everything, less cutting large squash (pumpkins and the like, you could chip the blade). These knives hold their edge very well, I get mine sharpen every 4 months or so.
