Answer:	Neither glass or plastic. It is a metal baking sheet, so it looks like a typical metal pan with a white top side (which is the thin ceramic coating)...almost like the top had been spray painted white. I have about 6 pieces of this bakeware and it all works beautifully using absolutely no oil. You must be careful not to use metal utensils or rough scouring pads to protect the ceramic finish from being scratched.

Answer:	Yes you can bake in it. Broiling is extremely high heat (way higher than 500 F), so all broiling pans are OK for baking.

Answer:	I read that the hole in the bottom of the pan was because it was for the heat to surround the broiler. No grease ever spilled out. I honestly do not believe you have to use a convection broiler. You use normal roasters, cake pans, pie dishes and cookie sheets and everything baked in that comes out very good so I think it isn't really necessary.
