How to cut the carpet tape?

Be sure to use a knife to cut the tape from the paper side which faces up. Suggest cutting with a knife rather than scissors.

It takes about 3 or 4 good sized pieces on each end or side of the rug,you just have to apply it right! Rug will stop moving.

How to install the carpet tape?

1. Unroll your carpet tape and tape the sticky side to the floor surface on which your carpet or tile will be laid. Leave the paper side face up.

2. Peel off the paper side from each piece of tape after all the required tape pieces are in place.

3. Lay down your desired carpet, rug or tile on top of the exposed adhesive tape and press them firmly.

How to remove the carpet tape?

You can remove the carpet tape directly by hand. When removing this or any tape, you have to roll it like it's Elmer's glue on your hands. Pls don't pull it from corner or edge with too much force or tension, the wrong operation can easily damage the floor finish. Remember, gently roll from one end to another starting with a corner, or you can use a hair dryer to heat the carpet tape to soften it,and then you can remove the tape more easily and safely by hand.

Answer:	No, the entire upper (seat) part of the chair tilts; or, if you want, you can, while the seat is completely untilted, push the hydraulic lever in, which locks and prevents the chair from tilting at all. There's also a tension adjustment, which adjusts how easily, or not as easily, you want the chair to tilt when it is unlocked and it is in "tilt mode". You don't have to put the arms on the chair, too; if you don't want them attached (the way I prefer the chair). I recommend, if you're "heavy" like I am (190 lbs), that you always make sure that one "leg/foot" of the chair is directly behind the back of the chair and the direction that you usually lean back in the chair when you are using the tilting of it, to make sure that the chair does not go out from under you and you fall backwards. You should also make sure that the chair is not situated on a smooth surface such as a bare floor and/or "carpet protector"; because, on such a smooth surface, the chair is much more likely to roll out from under you when you tilt back (as I had happen to me once---lucky I didn't break my neck). Therefore, I also recommend that you have the chair permanently situated where you want it at all, or most, times; on a small carpet with some "loft" that the casters (wheels) sink down into a little bit so the chair can't roll on the carpet unless you force it to, thus preventing the chair from going out from under you and your falling (as I have mine now); but, again, also with this setup you need to make certain that one leg/foot of the chair is directly behind the back of the chair, and that the wheel of that leg/foot is "extended out" and pointed straight back, in line with the that leg of the chair, in the direction that you usually tilt back in it. Again, if you're heavy, after a while of leaning back while tilting the chair back, the back of the chair will bend a little bit until it stops doing so after awhile, making leaning back in the chair even more (much more?) comfortable. But, in this case, the center of gravity will become "off-center", such that you even more have to make certain that one of the leg/feet is directly behind you, and the wheel of that leg/foot is extended out and pointed straight back, so you don't fall backwards. Also, you may have to move your hind end further forward in the chair to make the balance of your body less off center (as I do), thus also making it (much?) less likely that you'll fall backwards. Ever since I have used the chair in this way, I have never fallen backwards again. Oh, one more thing, if you're going to lean back in the chair, with it tilted, most of the time, you should *NOT* do so with the chair raised hydraulically to it's highest position (but only in its lowest position), because you're weight in that case (if you're heavy like me) will eventually make the top of the hydraulic cylinder crack, and make leaning back in the chair at all, dangerous (as I had happen to me; but, fortunately, I caught it before anything bad happened), thus causing me to have to buy (and for other reasons) a brand new chair (of the same Boss brand and model). But, the good news is, the cylinder should not crack at all if you only lean back with the chair in its lowest position. (There's just too much leverage at the top of the hydraulic cylinder if it is extended all the way so the chair is in its highest position, and one often leans back in it all the way while tilting back in the chair.) P.S. (update added 23 August 2016)---What I did because the seat was too low for the height of my homemade plywood desk on sawhorses (32" high), so that I could tilt back all the way without raising the seat and breaking the hydraulic cylinder is, I bought one of Boss' non-tilting drafting stool/chairs and "stole" the foot rest ring from it, adding it to the desk chair, which makes it just the right height. I use the drafting stool/chair as a non-tilting desk chair, without the foot rest ring, at a different, lower desk (29" high), with the hydraulic cylinder height adjustment at its highest/extended position, which works perfectly for that desk. I'm now (approximately October 2016) going to buy another of Boss' drafting stool/chairs for use without the foot rest ring at a third desk, and save the foot rest ring for later use if I need to raise the drafting stool/chair, or another desk chair, higher. (You don't want drafting stool/chairs to tilt due to how high they are; and because, if they tilted, there would be an extreme danger of falling over backwards.)

Answer:	No, Hard flat surfaces only.

Answer:	They are great on hardwood floors and vinyl floors laminate floors not so much on rugs carpet they stay put on the vinyl on the laminate and hardwood floors but not so much on the carpet and so if you're going to put it on top of carpet they still moving a little not as much as if they're just regular

Answer:	I'm not sure if they advertised this pad as being safe for hardwood floor but I have had it down for 6 months and haven't noticed any discoloring. It definitely won't scratch the floors (unless there is a pebble, etc.) as it has a soft backing.

We play catch with our 20 lb. terrier and every time he would chase down the ball in the front entryway the rug would slip slide every which way. We applied the four corners underneath, set it in place, and stepped on the rug corners which seems to "set" or "suction" the gripper ridges to the tile. No more sliding.
