Answer:	I ordered a 20 piece nativity set all at once. There was a savings over individual prices. Willow Tree offered the wise men in a set of three at the time I ordered my set. Maybe the individual pieces are intended to provide a replacement if only one king is needed or someone split a set to make more $ ? Are they new or used? I would go for the set of 3 for $42 if new.

Answer:	When I bought them they were in the original box...but that was last year.
Question:	Is there a reason for the price drop? Is this set being discontinued
Answer:	Demdaco which is the mfg has decided to stop selling willow tree to anyone selling on the internet so some vendors are dumping their inventory. Shame

Answer:	Ours do not. We pile up the Willow Tree boxes, cover with a green table cloth, arrange green houseplants around and add all the Willow Tree pieces. This year we are adding an ox and goat. We "hide" little battery-operated lights around to highlight pieces and are now also adding battery-operated candles. It looks pretty good.

Question:	How tall is the metal creche and how tall are the wise men
Answer:	It's about six to seven inches tall with the star but it isn't a very well made creche. I personally wouldn't get it just because of the fence that is supposed to be attached. It is easily dented and has sharp edges. It is NOT kid friendly. These fences are very flimsy and break off of the creche almost immediately. It can't be fixed. The wise men are about 2 inches tall or so. Maybe a little over, I haven't gotten them out yet this year so haven't measured them.

Question:	Does the shelter work for the older version of willow tree figs? my figs that are neutral/no color. joseph stands 9.5" tall. will this shelter work
Answer:	My Joseph is also 9.5" tall. I think it works fine. The shelter is 10 " at the point and 9 " as it slopes down.
Question:	How does the shelter stand up? Is it curved or does it have a support piece
Answer:	It is curved and stands on it's own. It is all one piece of pressed metal.

Question:	Does this set contain shepherds
Answer:	I have had this set since June 2016. I love it because it is very unique. There are three characters that I think might be shepards, however they seem to be musical. They are holding what appears to be instruments. I have had it at my workplace for awhile and have had many compliments on the pieces. My grandson however thinks the animals are dogs not sheep. I explained that there were probably dogs near the manger and he was OK with that. I love it. The pieces are small, so they fit in areas where other nativities wouldn't.
Question:	How large is this? How tall are the figures
Answer:	The figures in this nativity are approximately 3 to 3 1/2 inches tall! I use the storage box for the creche! It is a beautiful set! You would do yourself a favour by purchasing it!
Question:	The reviews are saying it arrives with only 2 wisemen wearing crowns but there are 3 wisemen. How would one distinguish the third wiseman if no crown
Answer:	The picture does show 3 wisemen with crowns but only 2 came in my set. If I remember correctly it is pretty obvious which is the third wisemen - and I plan to make my own crown - very easy as just a little gold rickrack is all that is needed. And the Bible doesn't say there were three wisemen - it only mentions 3 gifts so we assume there were 3. There could have been 2 - or there could have been 10. We do know there wasn't just one b/c it says wiseMEN not man and we knot there were 3 gifts. I don't regret buying it and was happy to add to my collection of over 50 nativities from around the world.
Question:	Will this item degrade or deteriorate over time
Answer:	I’ve had mine two years and it hasn’t started degrading. Given what it’s made of, it will most likely degrade over time.

Banana Fiber, Kenya

Esther Kariuki is an independent artisan who, in her area of Kenya, near Kitui, has organized and trained women in her village to use the dried fiber of the banana plant, which would normally be discarded. Esther ensures the craftspeople are paid a fair wage for their goods, which has enabled many in her small village to earn a sustainable wage.

Making of Banana Fiber Art

The banana fiber is first dried, and then a light varnish applied. Once this process is complete craftspeople cut the fiber into thin strips to make several different items, including boxes, Bao Bab trees and mobiles. The varnish on the banana fiber with its many tones of brown resembles textured tortoise shell.

Each set includes the banana fiber box itself and a set of pieces.
