There are two buttons on the top to adjust the volume up and down: when the radio is on it controls the radio volume (with V in front of the number) and when radio is off it controls the alarm (with L in front). Radio volume can be turned off all the way down but the lowest volume for alarm is level 3 so you will never “mute” your alarm by mistake.

Question:	Are the dual alarms for weekday vs. wkend only or can you set one alarm for m-f and the other to m-f at a different time? For two different people
Answer:	When using the RCR-20 in Bluetooth mode, the volume is lower than when using the unit in the radio mode. Turning up the volume on either the RCE-20 or your device (e.g., iPhone) a few clicks easily brings up the Bluetooth volume. When switching back to radio mode you will need to turn down the volume because it will be louder in radio mode. I have owned the RCR-20 for over one year and played music and audio book on it through Bluetooth, and I have never found the volume to be insufficient. The unit will play music or audio books in Bluetooth mode louder than you can stand to hear it. I would also point out that the sound from this unit is clear and crisp. This is a great unit and I recommend it.
Question:	does projection stay on until cancelled
Answer:	I can only compare it to the Boston Acoustic that it replaced, and say it's plenty loud to listen to NPR in the morning in a 15x15 bedroom. Its a nice radio but as noted in other reviews, its not easy to set up and configure.
Question:	how does auto time set work
Answer:	No. It has an auxiliary in plug, a headphone input plug, and a USB plug that allows charging an iPhone. It does have Bluetooth capability so that you can play music and podcasts from a phone or tablet through the radio. I do this often and the sound quality is very good when using Bluetooth. I am an audiophile with an audiophile home system, and this radio (which is in my bathroom) delivers impressive sound for its size and price, especially when in Bluetooth mode.

Answer:	Your location, house/apt construction and distance to station desired will all play a part in reception. Switching sides in a room or your dwelling can make a difference. Sometimes, even a foot will make a difference. I have had both this unit and the WR-22. Sangean has some of the best consumer AM/FM radio front ends you can buy. Devices in your home (light dimmers, computers, fluorescent fixtures, etc) can all cause AM reception problems. I have found the reception on both the RCR-20 and WR-22 to be quite good. Disclaimer - I live 20 miles north of NYC, so i am in a swamp of RF, and I live in a house with plaster walls and metal lathe... That said, the selectivity is very good on the radios and this also makes for good reception. The WR-22 allows you to connect an external AM antenna, and an external FM antenna. What you can also use is a Terk Indoor AM Antenna ADVANTAGE (Amazon has it) that can (passively or directly attached) improve your reception when you are exceeding the capabilities of the built-in AM antenna. I used the Terk very successfully for years (passively) with a Proton RS-330 clock radio. It really helped. I almost kept the RCR-20, but the ability to connect external AM/FM antennas was one deciding factor; so I went with the WR-22 instead. Try the RCR-20 out. If it doesn't receive to your satisfaction, pick up the Terk. Good luck.

Answer:	If you go to their website, they have instructions for different roblems with their products. If you don't find an answer to your question there, you can also speak live to someone at lacrosse. I'm not familiar with this problem with this clock, but when I had problems resetting after a battery change with their weather station, this was my experience.
Question:	Does this clock have a (quiet) sweep second hand or does it tick (and make a noise) with each second? Thanks
Answer:	You can eliminate most of the sound by carefully opening the clock and snipping the second hand with a nail clipper. I did this when my old La Crosse clock was failing because, inexplicably, the second hand was scraping against the face and one of the other hands. It got really quiet after that. The only noise left is the occasional reset that sweeps the minute and hour arms when the time needs to be corrected (it's very rare).

Alarm Set-Up

1. Press & hold (10 - Alarm 1) for 2 seconds to enter the alarm setup mode; the display will start blinking.

2. While Hour is blinking, press (2 - Up/Down) to adjust time and press (10 - Alarm 1) to confirm. The (15 - PM Indicator) will be in the 12hr format when the time is advanced to the PM time. While Minute is blinking, press (2 - Up/Down) to adjust time and press (10 - Alarm 1) to confirm.

3. Press (2 - Up/Down) to choose alarm source among (19 - Buzzer) or (20 - FM Radio) or (21 - Shaker) or (19 & 21 - Buzzer + Shaker) or (20 & 21 - FM Radio + Shaker). The selected source will start to blink. Press (10 - Alarm 1) to exit setting or set the alarm sound volume.

Sleep Timer Set-Up

1. Press (1 - Power) to turn on the audio function.

2. Press (4 - Bluetooth) or (6 - FM) to select desired audio source between Bluetooth or FM Radio. Press (3 - Sleep) to set the sleep timer while Bluetooth audio is playing. Continue to press (3 - Sleep) until you reach the desired timer from 10 to 90 (10 min intervals) and wait 5 seconds to keep the selected timer.

3. (25 - Sleep Indicator) will display once the sleep timer is set. The Bluetooth audio or FM Radio will automatically turned off if the set timer expires.

4. To turn off the timer, press (3 - Sleep) repeatedly until the value toggles to OFF and wait 5 seconds.

Bluetooth Set-Up

1. Press (1 - Power) to turn on the audio function.

2. Press (4 - Bluetooth) to select Bluetooth.

3. If the unit is turned on for the first time, it will enter Bluetooth Pairing mode automatically and the (26 - Bluetooth Indicator) will start to blink.

4. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and scan for "iLuv TimeShaker 6Q Wow" and select it.

5. Once both your device and the alarm clock is connected, a voice prompt will state "Bluetooth connected" and the (26 - Bluetooth Indicator) will stop blinking.

Question:	Can you set the alarm to only sound and no light? I don't need to be woken up 30 minutes prior to my alarm going off by the light coming on
Answer:	It's what it does - but mine can be set as low as 10 minutes beforehand I want to wake at 6AM so I set my alarm for 5:50 - the light gradually comes on for 10 minutes and the tone chimes at 6
Question:	Are you able to dim the colors or just the daylight one
Answer:	You can only dim the daylight color. When you try to dim the other colors it will just cycle through all the different colors.
Question:	Can you just use the sun light feature set at a certain time for wake up, but keep the sound off so no alarm makes sound
Answer:	Yes, you can directly control the volume of the sounds (0-10) and the intensity of the light (0-10). I usually like to set a vibrating alarm on my watch and the light with no sound. Makes a very mellow wake up especially in the early mornings before the sun light comes through the windows.
Question:	I used this for the first time today and noticed that the alarm turns off by itself 5 min into it. (have it set to radio) is this normal
Answer:	This is how they are apparently (poorly) designed to work. I am probably going to try and return one I was going to use as a gift because of this. 30 minutes before the alarm time set, the light will gradually increase and the audio alarm will commence at the time programmed. The audio alarm (regardless of the alarm sound or radio chosen) will then play for 5 minutes. After which, the light and audio alarm will shut off. I like to lay in bed for at least 15 minutes listening to the news on the radio and I find this very irritating. However, I have to say I will keep one of these as the gradually brightening light feature is much more effective at waking me up than I would have guessed. It is more effective at waking me up than the daylight lamp on a light timer that I used to use. Which would just come on full bright at my chosen time. I might set an additional clock radio to go off at the same time to compensate.
