It's gotten really loud - the mechanism is loud so I have to turn up the volume to hear the music and sometimes the CD just stops mid-song even though there isn't any timer set. I also use it for the alarm function and it's so loud. I know some need it to be super loud but it about gives me a heart attack when it goes off. I'm looking for something else but haven't found one yet. I'm not pleased with this particular model.
