Answer:	Yes, you may use AA lithium batteries. They are a direct replacement for alkaline and carbon-zinc AA batteries. They cost more but have advantages. The batteries have a shelf life of 5-7 years, perhaps more. They are not rechargeable. The clock will use very little power so you'll get several years of use from one set of lithium batteries and not have to bother with changing them every few months.

I'm not sure if the time sync would work if you aren't able to receive the radio controlled signal to synchronize to the correct time broadcasted by the NIST and WWVB.

Answer:	I had fired my .308 WIN brass five times and noticed that my groups had opened widely. Being a novice reloader at the time, I did an internet search and learned about work-hardened brass and how it can be corrected by annealing. I created a device that will rotate the brass while being heated with a propane torch for uniform heating. I put a "cam" on the rotating base that trips a switch that lights a light. I touch the Markal to heated brass to see if it melts. It's been a few years since I've done it but I think it took seven revolutions (approximately 10 seconds) to heat the brass to melt the Markal stick(~750°) which is the recommended temp that I found in my internet searches for annealing brass. You will want to start with scrap brass to get your time duration as the Markal leaves some residue on the brass that is difficult to remove.

Answer:	It's not easy. I had the DST at the bottom on, and the time didn't change. But hit the time set button, and wait until the blinking stops, and then when you press the +, the hour will move ahead an hour.

Answer:	Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up.
Question:	How "weather resistant" is the sensor
Answer:	The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California.

It uses a preset battery that stores the time and date on it, which then always keeps the time and date accurate even with daylight savings.I use this clock on top of my TiVo, so I can only vouch for that time-keeping aspect of it. It works well and is a great size for what I'm using it for. I cannot comment on the alarm. Hope this helps!
