Answer:	No, they need to be supported by a candlestick of some kind. They are lightweight aluminum foil. If they are in a container, they can suppport anything, though the opening is not as huge as a pillar candle. A taper will fit with no problem at all. A smaller candle will need to have the foil pinched in around it, but the nice thing is that you can do that with these since they are essentially foil in a shape. Hope this helps!

Answer:	My candles are 11/16th of an inch; yours are 8/16 inches. It fits my candles perfectly. However, the holder is like aluminum foil and could be pinched in to fit your candle. I think it would work.
