Question:	What if my existing wall vent opening is higher than wall toe kick height?? My wall vent bottom is aprox. 9'' off the floor and top is
Answer:	About 50% of the time the wall vent will be higher which requires some contractor expertise in the form of duct alteration. Assuming the duct does not continue upward to another level you need to cap off the ducting and lower it to the 4" kick space. If the ducting continues to another level you will need to cut sheet metal to cover the opening and use a metal saw to cut into the duct to a lower spot to allow the vent to be into the 4" kick area of the cabinet. Have done it several times, always a pain, requires tin snips, saw, some sheet metal, metal duct tape and bandaids. To avoid bandaids, wear gloves.
Question:	How long does the vent extend
Answer:	It's not super long, but will go a foot or so from the wall and still enough to curve around to face the front of the toe kick.

Answer:	I don't know the diameter and it is now installed under our cabinets. It looked like a regular 4 or 6 inch hose that was squished down into an oval to fit under the cabinets.

Answer:	This floor heat mat needs to be installed on top of a sub-floor material such as wonder board, hardy board,etc. According to the manufacturer, once the mat is placed it should be covered with a "polymer-modified thin set cement -based mortar". The manual further states "NEVER install SunTouch mat under carpet, wood, vinyl, or other non-masonry flooring without embedding it in thin-set, or self leveling mortar".

You can have peace of mind knowing that your floor heating system is in working order by testing the resistance of the heating elements with a Digital Multi-Meter.

Each cable has a UL tag on the power lead with a resistance (Ohm) range printed on it. Set the Multi Meter to 200 Ohms (2k if the Ohm range is over 200) and test the colored power lead wires. Then test the colored wires against the copper ground wire to make sure there is no resistance on the ground.

Question:	Do I need to buy a thermostat to control it? Or can it be connected to a switch? Just on and off
Answer:	You need a thermostat to install it properly - SAFELY. The mats are standard 110 / 120 volt hot & neutral. You could wire it to a switch and the mats will not care. The Tstat's most important role is turning the mats OFF, not on. Without a stat the mats are just going to keep making heat until you turn them off, maybe after the house burns down, maybe not. No switch, timer, photocell...whatever you employ to control the mats is going to take the place of a thermostat for a proper and safe installation. Anything else would be reckless.
Question:	What underlayment is recommended for this heating film
Answer:	I laid it right on the tile. Works great.
Question:	Can these be cut and wired in a series to one thermostat
Answer:	yes
Question:	Planning 1 mat 1.5x5 = 90 watts. Can I use this w/o thermostat? Just on a gfci protected circuit w/ off/on switch
Answer:	Yes. I did this and it works just fine. I could not find an inexpensive thermostat that would operate properly on such a low load / resistance so I just hard wired with a cut off switch. No problems so far and installed about 6 months?

Answer:	I put my oil in a spray bottle and spray five squirts across the top of my back before turning off the water. Then I let the shower water hit it lightly so it runs down. I've also put it in a hairdresser's squeeze bottle and run it across the back of my shoulders.
