In the fans defense, I use mine almost 24 hours a day, seriously. I'm disabled and spend lots of time in the bedroom. I've put this thing through its paces, for sure.DRAWBACKS: Cleaning. There's No way to open it up, getting to the blades, to clean them. If there was, I'm sure this mighty little fan would still be humming along. To Semi-Clean it, buy yourself a can of Compressed Air and blast it once in a while. But, take it outside first, as dirt and dust "Will Fly".Today, I'm buying another one, same style. It's quiet, when newer and no bearing wear. It's powerful enough to blow across my head, (my hot spot), chest and down to my waist. I'm 6' 2" tall. So, it blows a good stream of air, (On HIGH Speed), about 4 to 5 feet away. After that it diminishes pretty fast. Of course, the cleaner the blades, the farther it pushes air. Question:	All the reviews say that this fan is super quite. How is speed 3? I need some white noise to sleep and worried it wont be loud enough
Answer:	It is a quiet fan. My husband and I sleep with white noise and use a white noise machine. We tried the fan without added white noise, and for us it was too quiet. We still use our white noise machine.The fan as a mover of air, however, is fantastic the way it moves and circulates air within a room.
Question:	How is the face attached for easy removal to clean
Answer:	The face is rigid metal and is attached by prongs that fit into several holes around the frame. To be honest, I've found it difficult to remove; I've used a screw driver and also a case knife to help dislodge it but found a wooden spoon is safest (and will be less likely to scratch the surface). It's a great fan, very sturdy and it gets the air moving, plus it looks cool, giving any room a retro feel. I'd buy it again. If you decide to purchase one, just be careful and patient when removing the face. I've found that with regular use it needs a good cleaning about once every 60 days.

Answer:	I don't think that fan oscillates. But the Vornado action will move air through out a entire room. Been using Vornado fans for close to 50yrs myself. Very impressed with them.

Wide-dispersed air flow is much more healthy and can be super smooth. Focused air flow can spread farther distance, Dispersed air flow spread wider space. So when you leave R21 cooling space, the airspeed will suddenly drop. I also know some customer need adapt this difference, but this is R21. This kind of air flow is friendly for all your family members even for babies. Second: Yes, flowing air will take away heats, but static air is unhealthy. You can obviously feel it when you close all the doors, windows in winter. R21 can help room air circulate unconsciously. This is why some of our customer will use a fan in winter. Answer:	there is NO height adjustments...the height is depending on the extra bar in the middle...you can opt to leave it off and it becomes a table-ish fan...(a little large unless you have a BIG table)...so its the 48" or the 20"...nothing in between...hope this is helpful...

Answer:	It pivots from about 10 degrees below horizontal thru horizontal on up to vertical and about 10 degrees beyond vertical. It moves firmly, but easily, and maintains its position without difficulty.

Answer:	I’ve had no problem reaching Vornado’s Customer Service by telephone, albeit it was a lengthy wait to get through. But once I did, the rep was very helpful and thoroughly explained their 5-Year Warranty process. They open a Warranty Claim, you provide proof of purchase date (easy if bought on Amazon), along with the non-working fan’s Serial/Model # (located on fan itself), they instruct you to cut the fan’s power cord and take pics to send to Vornado. After that’s completed, they ship a new fan to you. My rep spoke fluent English.

Answer:	Yes - If the 16ft standard line sets aren't long enough for where you plan to install your inside units, Senville will replace them with whatever length you need for an additional cost. 16ft was enough for one of my inside units, but I needed 35ft for the second one & 50ft for the third one. They only send 14/4 communication wire with the 16ft line sets so I bought 100ft from a big box home improvement store that sells DIY mini-splits. Worked perfectly. Just make sure the total length of your lines sets doesn't exceed the maximum length for the unit & that the vertical "drop" from the highest inside unit to the location on the ground where the outside unit will be sitting doesn't exceed the maximum either. In the U.S., outside units are charged with enough R410A Freon for a 25ft line set for each inside unit. The total length of my 3 line sets was 101ft (16+35+50) & my outside unit was charged for 75ft (25x3), so I needed to add R410A for an additional 26ft (101-75) - which was approximately 1/2lb. The amount of additional R410A you need to add for each additional foot can be found in the installation manual for the outside unit you buy. You can buy small cans of R410A made for "topping off" new systems when situations like this arise on eBay.

Answer:	Yes. This fan has a steady 'white noise' sound. On low it is softer than on the high setting. I like both of the levels. the sound seems to drown out other noises like cars going by etc.

I looked into it and saw the power switch is a quality one. And the wiring is first rate with a fuse in the plug end of the power cord. I am going to buy another one as well. I have the larger type original by Vornado and this is as well made. The blades are plastic but well done, deep pitch 5 blade. Exceptionally high standards for modern products... quiet, reliable, and yes metal. Vornado is what they claim to be... the best room air circulatory systems made.
