Answer:	No. The thermal switch is the control for the automatic on-off feature. Even though your fireplace may feel cool to the touch outside, the location of the thermal switch is likely still warm enough to leave the fan running and circulating. It's working as intended.

Answer:	I have a recently purchased AVH10. The unit is remarkably quiet - on the low setting I can barely hear the fan. there is no audible hum whatsoever. Works great - much better than the older models I have purchased

Answer:	Same thing happened, but next day it started working again! And i already returned one for same issue. It seems what's happening is the tip-over switch gets flipped and turning off/on won't reset. But let it sit over night and discharge. Guess what -- it works great today -- I'm totally serious. I tried everything yesterday to get it to work. I tried everything yesterday to fix it, it would come "on" but no fan/heat. Today works great. So fan needs some time to discharge once the tip-over switch is flipped. What you should do is turn it on "AFTER" you have it plugged in, after you pull it out of the box, so tip-over switch is not flipped. If you don't do that, you can reset it by unplugged the unit over night, and then try again--> (after its been unplugged for a while) move to proper location, THEN plug in and operate. It will then work perfectly.

Answer:	The slight buzzing is NORMAL on LOW only. It's the regulation circuit on the control board. Note: if you have low voltage condition (110v-115v) when a 750-1500 watt load is on the circuit, this heater (on low) may go into "protect" mode because the fan doesn't spin fast enough to remove the heat from inside the unit.

Answer:	It doesn't work. It heats the air in the immediate vicinity of the space heater and then turns off while the rest of the room is still chilly. As for cost, look at your monthly electric bill or contact your electric service provider. You want the $0.0xxx rate per kilowatt hour. In my area, the first 750 kw used in a month are billed at $0.0804 per kWh. Each additional kw is billed at $0.0538 per kWh. Take the rate for your area times 1.5 kw per hour times the number of hours per day that you will run the space heater times the number of days that you will use it in a month. For example, if you run it for 3 hours per night, 5 days per week, then your electric cost would be about 93 kWh x your electric rate. I returned this space heater and opted for another more efficient 1500 watt space heater. I used the Vornado in a 150 cubic foot greenhouse. At best the Vornado kept the inside temperature 23 degrees warmer than the outside air. The 1500watt space heater that I replaced the Vornado with, keeps the greenhouse at 44 degrees warmer than the outside air.

Question:	Is it normal for the plug to be hot
Answer:	I noticed mine was getting really hot. The instructions says not to use and extension cord but I HAD to so I ended up getting a heavy duty appliance extension cord. The plug only gets warm now, not super hot like before. Even if you’re not using an extension cord and gets hot make sure it’s plugged into a GFI outlet and that will solve the problem.
Question:	I know that infered heats a bigger room and gets hot faster, is there a difference otherwise? Pros and cons of each please. I don't know what infered
Answer:	From my understanding, infrared is 40% more efficient and heats faster (covering more sf as a result). However, the heat is direct and thus dissipates just as fast. Conventional heats the air unlike infrared and is supposed to last longer after the heater is off. Conventional also dehumidifies as a result. Not sure the extent to which all that is true with this specific product... I have the conventional one but not this one so can't compare.

Answer:	Robert has the same setup I do. Build-in timers on a heater actually limit its usefulness unless you can bypass the timer when suitable. I have a heater with a build-in timer (my first-ever heater) and I no longer use it except in very limited situations. This heater is fantastic as its thermostat is very useful and easy. This system is in my greenhouse as a back-up if my other system fails and the temps drop below 40F.

Question:	Does the temperature control move the temp up and down? I have a different model and the temp control is only one button that goes from low to high
Answer:	If you are going to clamp the fan to the metal of the stove, just attach it to one of the screws on the frame of the fan. If you are just setting it under the firebox attach it to one of the bolts that secured the old fan to the fire box.

Answer:	Start hooking the wire up from the blower itself. The blower comes with a wire harness that plugs on to the blower and has a green ground wire. The ground wire has a round fitting on the end and should be put under one of the blower screws. Then follow the diagram back to the thermostat and the speed adjustment knob then to the plug.
Question:	How much does the heater weigh
Answer:	the 200 is for units with a dedicated wall switch for the blower and it has variable speed control. The 250 is required for units that do not have a dedicated wall switch for the blower but is in essence the same as the 200 with variable speed control.
Question:	Is there a timer function so you can set it to come on in the morning? Thanks
Answer:	No, it only turns on when it is plugged in. Usually with these type of fireplaces, there should be duel switch on the wall, one to turn on the fireplace, the other to turn on the blower. One of the plugins under the fireplace should be controlled by the switch on the wall, if it was installed that way. Hopefully this helps answer your question.

If you need glasses to read most books, you will need glasses to read these. Ideally, you will not need to read the cards every time. You can start by learning a few exercises, reading those cards, watching the videos and doing them. Add a few more cards at your own pace.
