Answer:	The air intake and exhaust would not be blocked, but the power cord would be bent at 90 degrees where it's affixed to the unit. It's definitely not intended for use on its back.

Answer:	Ours did that too. It was like a quick hiccup in the speed of the fan. I exchanged it and the new one did the same thing. Must be an electronic controlled fan speed.

Answer:	the unit uses 3 filters and 3 carbon pre filters,,prob good for about 1/2 year,,1 have another similar unit,,HOLMES,,that i have used for several years,,no problems at all,,tho it deminishes the hepa factor,,at 6 months,,i blow the filters out with a yard blower,,then use for a few months more,,still cleans the air well,,amazon,,so far,,has the best filter prices,,$25 for a box of 2,,walmarts price is $35,,the pre filters are about $2 to $2.50 each,,hope this helps,,this unit moves a lot of air,,so 3 filters are pretty reasonable,,a 1 filter unit would take care of a pretty small room,,thats all

Answer:	dead4red answered your question but I just want to emphasize the need to stick with what the manufacturer suggests for sq footage. I bought this model in 2013 for our bedroom after my allergies really got much worse and my allergist told me to rip up carpeting and replace with area rugs that can be washed (cotton), cover the mattress/boxspring/pillows with quality allergy protectants, take down curtains, and buy a Germ Guardian HEPA air purifier. I did all but thought it may not matter that this model is too small for our bedroom. Yes, I slept better but finally decided to get a model that actually covers the area. And it made a huge difference. If your allergies are not that bad and/or you just want to get rid of smells or something, then you're not in the same league as me. But if you have the allergies that I have and it is very problematic, don't do what I did initially-be cheap. Instead, cough up (not literally) an extra $50-$100 and get the model that manufacturer recommends.

Answer:	Hello, I just received my unit. I plugged it in and the Power Light was flashing red AND the blue UV-C light was flashing. Resetting the unit by pushing and holding in the UV-C Button changed the power light to green but the UV-C light is still flashing. Any suggestions? Answer:	The hepa filter is not washable, I use the charcoal black filters that they sell with the hepa filter or seperate, I use my shop vac and once a week I use the shop vac to remove the dust etc out of the filters you can feel the suction from the other side. I have reused one chrcol filter for 3 weeks now whem.I use to replace once a week, the air quality is just as clean as a new one. I use one filter for 4 weeks with a good shop vac sessiononce a week. I have respiratory disease and my inside air quality monitor showd the air quality the same with a shop vac cleaned 4-week filter as it does with this brand new filter.

Answer:	Hello, thank you for writing in. The unit does have wifi capability. It is possible to use TUYA's "Smart Life" APP, available on APP stores, to control these units. Download the APP and follow instructions to sync the unit. The unit can be put into pairing mode by pressing the Auto button for 5 seconds (the WiFi light will blink). At the same time, unit function with the Smart Life APP is not fully fleshed out or tested, and may be buggy. Alen is not presently set up to support the APP. I hope this helps - Alen Customer Team

Answer:	For those of you trying to setup the WiFi through Gosund, hold the auto button to put your purifier into pairing mode. One press will turn it on and the WiFi icon will flash, another press will turn the WiFi icon off; you will notice it flashes and eventually turns off if you’ve turned the WiFi off. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The HEPA filter will remove quite a bit of smoke but it won't last near as long in a smoky environment, Using the ionizer might be a bad idea for smokers. The ionizer will change the smoke into a substance that will stick to everything more vigorously than usual. The odor from the remnants of ionized smoke is sticky and more pungent after it has collected on nearby objects over time, and it's MUCH harder to wipe away.
Question:	how often do you have to change the filter
Answer:	We live in rural northern Alabama where there is a lot of pollen and cotton/corn fields; 6 to 7 months is the maximum we can go on a single filter. We use the HAPF300AP-U4 filters which claim to last 12 months but air flow is significantly reduced by 6 months; going any longer would probably put an unnecessary strain on the motor and shorten the life of the purifier. My children have severe allergies; so we immediately know when the filters need to be changed.
Question:	Would this be good in an office enviroment to put on my desk to eliminate cologne and perfume smells
Answer:	I realize this question is a couple of years old, but for other potential buyers--I've been running this on my desk on high for over a year and have never had any comments or complaints from callers. It's next to my laptop and appx 1.5-2' from me, and I've never had any issues. I don't have issues with strong colognes or perfumes, but the air in my home office is always noticeably fresher than the air in the rest of my home and I have open windows/moderate-heavy pollen most of the year. (I'm here now for unit #2.)
Question:	Does this model come with it's first filter, or do I have to purchase seperately
Answer:	Yes, it does come with its own HEPA filter. However, when I replace mine I just buy one of those HVAC home 12 by 25inch pleated filters from Home Depot to replace them with. They are much cheaper and do a good job.

Answer:	The filter is 10 inches in length, 6 3/4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. We just measured the other one in the box. Our unit is a HAP756. The filter fit just perfect. Hope this helps.
Question:	How often to change
Answer:	These filters will last MUCH longer if you use the Holmes HAPF60-U3 Carbon Replacement Filters, Filter I http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000063SKE (Amazon item code B000063SKE in case the URL doesn't work. You get a pack of four carbon filters. If you have two lights on your model, the first light indicates it's time to change the carbon filter. You "can" gently wash them out and reuse them, but I don't. Then, after the second carbon filter set has to be replaced the next time, I replace these. Two factors will make a lot of difference in how often you need to change these. 1. How fast do you run the motor? My unit has four speeds, but the manual suggests you never leave it on "4" for an extended period. So, I keep it on 3 when I am not in the room and then turn it down to 1 when I'm sleeping. 2. Is the area air conditioned? I've had my Holmes unit HAP726 since 2007. When I lived in a crummy apartment with one window AC unit, I had to change the filters more frequently. Since I bought my house in 2009, I keep the HVAC or its fan on all the time, filtering the house air through my main HVAC filter. So now, I don't have to change these filters as often. I still use it though, as I like having it in my bedroom.

Answer:	I believe this is a permanent filter that needs to be cleaned/vacuumed, so, I don’t believe there was an option to purchase a new one. You should reach out to the company- they probably sell this.
