Answer:	All brands of tunnel bags are designed to hold sand. If you’re going to use something else especially liquid, then yes you’d need use a bladder. Perhaps a couple of ziplock gallon freezer bags or water bags for large fish from a pet shop?

Question:	What's the difference between ultra and regular
Answer:	Ultra has the lid which is why it is $169.00 without the lid it is $139.00. The base of the litter box at a step counter (how many uses) and timer intervals of 5/10/15. The 2nd generation appears to have a small front lip which my cats tender to pee towards the front so with shorter front step the pee gets on the cardboard replacements. I have both ultra and 2nd generation- with two cats I prefer the ultra. In my opinion it is made better. The 2nd generation doesn’t have the timer intervals and the front step is cheaply made.
Question:	How do you know it's time to change the tray? We have a kitten, so will it go longer at first
Answer:	I change the litter (we use the Forever Litter Tray) after about 24 uses - that's about 4-5 days in our house with 2 cats. Our cats must pee in larger amounts, because at 24 uses, I start to notice a smell from the box and the litter looks saturated. I see other owners that get 50-100 uses before they change out the litter. For a kitten, they would pee in smaller amounts, so it should last quite a bit longer.

Answer:	I’ve had littermaid boxes since the 1990s and have used many brands of litter. My current favorite is Arm&Hammer clump and seal Slide. This litter clumps well and is less prone to sticking to the bottom of the box and seems to track a bit less than other boxes. Also keeps smell under control as well as fresh step which was my second favorite when litter is changed every 7 days for 1 cat.

Answer:	I have 2 older model litter maid. A single cat and a multi cat. The ones that are taupe colored. I'm down to just the single cat box now as I tried using crystal litter in the multi box and it killed it. Wish I could get that model again as from what I've been reading about the new 3.2 it eventually turns into a manual box. It also says that it only cleans after 20 minutes after the cat does it's business. I can't imagine your cat's poop smell is different than mine but the model I have cleans 5 minutes after the cats done and even then I can smell it until it's contained. I'm still researching the other options for less than $$$. Don't like the cardboard tray of one type but just found out that you can buy a permanent tray vs having to replace it and making more unrecyclable trash. And it also has a 5-10-15 minute timer. The litter robot is quite expensive so I'm going to try the scoop free. But if they still had the version I have I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

Answer:	I have owned this litter box for over 6 months and I have NEVER used bag liners. Personally, i think bag liners just get scratched up and do more harm than good. So yes, you can. Answer:	At first I tried to fold the plastic liner over the edge of the lower half. It would not fit. I tried just bringing the bag up to the edge. I secured it with a few small pieces of tape. When the dome is placed on top it traps the edge of the bag holding it in place. I just need to learn where to purchase more bags. Will start at the website. Good luck!

Answer:	We have chihuahuas (5, 6 and 9 lbs). The oldest 9 lb doesn't even try to go in but the other two can zip in and out of there as if it was made for them. They don't move the lid or anything; they are smaller then the cat. But they will try to drag kitty litter and then some out of it frequently. No problems for me though as they do the same and worse with litter boxes uncovered or with a normal box cover.

Virtually no tracking, one large Oko box, lasts one month for two extra large corner boxes for extra large male cat. I fill about 2” deep. Scoop every other day. Change all litter about every 2 weeks. Answer to a difficult odor issue since I discovered he pees straight back like a tiger. Caveat Use a wide grate scooper for these pellets. Clumps great! Answer:	My larger cat has no issues with this box. I do use liners with it and they easily stay in place when you snap the shield back onto it. I have two cats and both use this litter box--but I do have another litter box with a cover - and the larger cat does not like using it anymore because I think he has outgrown that one. This open one is fine even for larger cats.

That means it's just under 12" tall, assuming this information is correct, and other buyers have also confirmed the height.

Answer:	Whether it leaks depends on how your cats urinate. I have several of this type of litter box, because they fit into the Ikea "Besta" cabinets I have turned into litter box furniture. Of my five cats, one of the boys has a tendency to urinate at fairly high velocity and it just about shoots vertically. He also frequently doesn't crouch/hunker down, so many times he hits the seam directly and urine leaks through. I have "pee pads" under the litter pan to collect these accidents so it doesn't wreck the furniture or floor, but I do wish this would be addressed by the manufacturer. If they built in some kind of overhanging lip so urine would drip down without getting into the seam, that would improve my life, and that of all other people with cats like mine, tremendously.

I had an elderly cat with kidney issues and arthritis in her hips -- she used to bend down and raise her butt to pee spraying all over the wall and down the sides. Answer:	I purchased 8 steam pans for my four cats several years ago for less than half the price. I only wish that I'd thought of it years ago. While this is nice because it has rounded edges, it's SO much more expensive than the steam pans. Wow, $50 for a cat pan vs. $20 for a steam pan here at Amazon. Either way, I would never, ever go back to plastic pans again.

Answer:	Just a response to those that say at least 1 litter box per cat. We had a cat rescue for nearly 20 years, at one point with as many as 12 (ferals included) residing indoors. There were never more than 5 boxes (cleaned daily) available for them. In order to see if more were needed, I'd use a UV (black light) flashlight to look for spray spots. Oddly enough, after almost 20 years, I found that none of the kids went around spraying! To sum it up, in my experience, have two boxes for two cats. If you begin to have more than that I would suggest no more than 50% box to cat ratio, with the emphasis on keeping the boxes policed.
