Question:	Does anyone know why this the prefilter is described as "electrostatic." There appears to be no electrodes or DC voltage supplies internally
Answer:	Here's the answer to how electrostatic filters work (from eHow.com) -- "The secret to the electrostatic air filter's effectiveness is the polyurethane and polypropylene blends used in the filtering material. The fibers have been formulated so that when air passes by them, they generate strong static charges. Separate layers of filtration material also receive opposite charges (positive and negative). Since positively charged particles are attracted to surfaces with negative static charges and vice versa, the filtration media can actually attract airborne particles like a magnet and hold on to them until the filter is cleaned. When a particle of dust, mold, fungi or any other airborne matter comes from the HVAC system and through the ducts toward the filter, it first passes through a synthetic filter layer with a positive static charge. This positive charge gets transferred to the airborne particle. Then the particle passes through a layer with a negative charge, and it is attracted to that layer's surface. The more layers of oppositely-charged filtration media there are in the filter, the more effectively it can prevent airborne particles from entering the room."
Question:	It says must be mounted 7feet off floor. Is this just for safety? Are is it for proper operating of unit
Answer:	I never saw a notice to mount it a minimum of 7 feet off the floor. Mine is mounted about 1.5 feet down from a 10 foot ceiling so with the height of the unit makes it about 7+ feet off the floor. It is mounted over a workbench so there is no danger of hitting it with work pieces moving around, but it seems like the right height for the unit. I would think that you could mount it at any height that would make sure you don't hit it with moving your work pieces around. As for operating the unit, it seems to me that the closer you can place it to the source of dust and airborne particulates, is the best place to mount it.
Question:	My shop is 27x27 with 20 ft ceilings. Will this unit filter the air efficiently in such a large space
Answer:	Could not say for sure but a couple of comments to possibly make it more effective. if you could possibly hang the unit well down from the 20 foot ceiling and position equipment that generates significant dust in closer proximity that should compensate for the large space. I have not put my unit to the test so far to give you a better feel for cleaning capacity but my 13 X 14 shop opens up to a basement storage area o that would make it a similar size to a 27X27 with about a 9 ft ceiling. So far I have not noticed any excessive dust in the storage area but again i have not really pushed it enough to be conclusive.
Question:	Is it better to hang this unit from the ceiling against a wall or hang it centrally located? I don't know which position will have a "better" airflow
Answer:	I have several of these and I could not disagree more about a central location install. Put this where you create most dust PERIOD. The main dust created from your work should be able to easily float right up into to the air scrubber, If that's your miter station you set it right over the miter station. This gets hung from the ceiling not on a wall. If you place this in the center of the shop or room it's going to try to pull that dust to the center of room and there may not be any dust ether to begin with why pull dust through the shop if you dont have to?I have one over my Miter station, one over my Band Saw and the third larger unit in the center of the shop. But if I only had one air scrubber that thing would be wherever the majority of my dust is made, not just in the center or in an arbitrary corner.And always by a few smaller units than one large unit, I made that mistake initally. If you can afford the big version of this just get two of these smaller units and put each one over the ares you create the most dust.

Answer:	i think it would work fine for a 2 car garage it states it can filter 400 cubic feet per minute on high i use it with another ambient air cleaner to filter the air in my sharpening business shop which about 600 s.f.

Answer:	I take a black sharpie and put black lines on the new filter when I can no longer see the lines I know its time to replace.

Answer:	Sorry for the extremely late reply, but I thought others might still be comparing the WEN and JET models of air cleaners. The WEN 3417 or 3415T are the units which should be compared directly to the JET 708620b. Those units have virtually identical CFM and hardware specs to the JET. The WEN 3410 you referenced in this question is made for a much smaller space and pumps a lot less air, so it's not really a valid comparison. Compare equivalent models that have similar CFM ratings in order to get a fair idea of how the two brands truly compare. In that scenario, the WEN is a very good alternative to the JET, particularly given the shipping damage many owners have reported when purchasing the JET unit. The units are likely pretty equal, but using poor packaging which provides inadequate shipping protection can turn any 5-star product into a 1-star doorstop. I always check the percentages of 5-star and 1-star reviews to get an idea of the ratio of customers having problems versus perfectly happy customers. You might have a different method.

Answer:	Air flow is great. It blows up no out so its not a direct fan effect but it circulates the air in my bedroom so much that I get cold
Question:	What does the red light mean? I turned on my new GermGuardian and a red light turns on right above the logo. Is something wrong
Answer:	Yes it does remove PM2.5 particles effectively. PM 2.5 is right in a HEPA filters sweet spot. HEPA filter remove 99.97% of particles above 0.3 micrometers, and PM2.5 are right around 2.5 micrometers, so this would be extremely effective at doing so. This is true of all HEPA filters though, nothing special here.
Question:	I just received mine today and the moment I turned it on, the power indicator is still flashing red. Why is that
Answer:	It comes with 1 HEPA filter (1 year est.) and 1 carbon filter (6 month est.) Based on the reviews though, the filter tend to lasts longer than the estimate.
Question:	is the filter washable
Answer:	The Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier does not emit ozone. It does not have an ionizer. The other answers saying it does, or saying it does when the ionizer is turned on, are apparently referring to a different model, which Amazon in its wisdom has lumped together with the Mighty.

Question:	Will this unit run safely on a 12 Amp circuit? The manual specs say to use a 15-amp, but i do not have one
Answer:	On my 2016, the taller side faced down, which required me to flip the filter in the gasket (i.e. take it off and flip it around) due to the protruding tab. Only concern is if there is a direction to the airflow through the filter (no signs on the filter or gasket indicating air flow direction as one might find on a HEPA filters).
Question:	Does this unit come ready to use out of the box, or must I purchase the two filters that the unit requires
Answer:	They say it can last up to 15K miles. I change mine once a year, which for me, is less than 15K miles. But again, they say it can last up to 15K miles before needing to be replaced.
Question:	Can i use this in my garage? It gets very hot during the summer? Will heat effect it at all
Answer:	The main difference is the ability to clean it. The K/N filter is a good design but the main advantage in just the filter as apposed to say a more involved system with say a Stage 1, 2, or 3 performance tune, is that you can pull it out check it and clean it with a process they describe, then re-oil it accordingly. On all of my past performance cars that had modifications I always used K/N filters and paid the $50-$75 once and did not even keep the cars long enough (and in such good/clean condition) to ever need to clean them. I saw power gains, but not from the filter alone, it was from everything else I did. These work just the same, or better than your OEM filter and you would not notice a power gain by simply dropping in an expensive filter by itself. You can always take them out, shake them out a little, vacuum in the box area where they sit to make sure clean of any dirt, dust, etc and when noticeably dirty, toss them. These should last you a long while and are perfectly fine, if not better than what you probably have.
Question:	Can you use a standard size furnace filter? If so what size
