Answer:	Hey The arms have 2 slits on the arms that you attach the tray and then you can remove them. the tray is not real wide but was big enough to put food on it. They are not that noticeable when the tray is removed. also the seat has a cover that you can pull back if the child is to small to sit and you put their legs through which I love. The race car harness that you use is awesome. It keeps the child in the seat. It works well at the beach or anywhere I have taken it.

Answer:	I don't believe it did have a safety belt but trust Melissa and Doug if they put an age appropriate limit on their items... they are really good. I gave mine to friends 3 year old and she's big for her age and she loved it.. they are campers and love to fish. Hope that helps...
