The overpriced sleep number base moves the same way as this and the dimensions are the same or very nearly so. I see no reason this base would not work.

I had a wood headboard so I attached a board brace across from leg to leg, drilled holes in the right place and attached the headboard that way. It was more trouble than I would have liked, but it worked.
