Answer:	I had similar issues as well as distortion and fading. Returned it and tried a second unit it had different issues but was even worse than the first. They both came from Amazon store who stood by there return policy no hassles only had to pay some frieght. Bought a Radio Shack PA amp which had better ports very low distortion and truely amps the signal. Radio shack unit is 10 times better than any of the pyle or pyramid units I've heard. Cost about $120.
