Answer:	I don't know how these work w/o sewing fabric ties on both comforter and duvet. I found the perfect answer for any duvet and it holds comforter in place w/o slipping, tearing, shifting or sewing! I found these clear hard plastic circles (doubles-one snaps inside the other ) to hold corners in place w/o any problems. I first used them 4 a med. weight comforter (not this one) and an antique lace duvet. Held beautifully and invisibly w/no damages. With the corner tabs, you just put the larger circle on the top of tab and the smaller circle on the outside bottom of the duvet cover and snap together.Voila! I can't recall the name but Bed,Bath & Beyond has a four-pack for about $10-$12.Just tell them what you are looking for and that you need clear plastic comforter/duvet cover corner holders. They also last forever and are easy to remove for cleaning or changing styles.

Answer:	Yes it does...BUT only when you first take it out if the package. I opened it the first day, let it breathe, then the next day I washed it with a good amount if fabric softener after that it was awesome. I love this comforter! You won't be disappointed.

Answer:	Well a duvet is by definition a large covering for a comforter, so in that sense no. The biggest reason I think one needs a duvet cover is that it protects the comforter from getting dirty and stained. We all have body sweet that discolors everything we wear or sit on over time. That will be true here as well. I was replacing a comforter I have had 10 years with this new one. Most of those 10 years it was in a duvet cover, but just from the few years out, it certainly begins to discolor slightly. If you want to know if it looks okay without a duvet cover, the answer is yes.It is fluffy and very white. It is not however soft. A lot of the reviews I read said it was soft like silk. It isn't. It feels like stiff cotton/polyester. Perhaps several washings will soften it. I can't use fabric softener due to allergies but if you can it might soften up more quickly. I have had to take it to a laundry mat (as it is huge and too big for my washer) and wash it as the chemical smell (not too strong) has made me cough. One washing has fixed that--I think. I haven't slept with it yet since washing it so I can't confirm no coughing, but the smell is definitely gone. Fabrics are made in one country, shipped to another, cut, sewn and shipped around the world. I'm sure they all collect dust, etc. from the process. So I don't think needing to wash it is unusual. It is more a safety precaution against all the dust and chemicals it collected along the way. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Yes...thread count is how tightly the cloth is woven. 1200 is about as tight as you can get which actually means no shrinkage at all, not in hot water or in a hot dryer. The more loosely woven the cloth (much cheaper to buy) the more it can shrink, and the more feathers can poke through. Feathers do just fine in the dryer. Work it a little if there are any clumps after you take it out. I wash mine just fine, even in hot water when my dog peed on it. Bleach doesn't hurt 1200 count fabric but don't use it because of the feathers.

Answer:	That is exactly how I used mine. I placed the comforter between my blanket and the top comforter to make my bed nice and fluffy.

Answer:	It is 86" x 86" and fits nicely in a queen sized duvet cover.
Question:	On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the "fluffy factor"? And warmth? I really want something that's nice and fluffy but won't get too hot
Answer:	The fluffy is 2” high which equals 5/10 fluffy in my book. My original one is 3” high which is ideal for that fluffy comfy bedding look
Question:	Does it have that awful crunchy noise? And is it really soft? It so hard buying bedding on line when you can't feel them first
Answer:	No crunchy noise at all its really soft. I would buy again..
