Answer:	There's no indicator, but I would think the flavor of the water would be a good indication that it needs to he replaced. Our water tastes bad out of the tap and the filter removes it. Once bad flavor returns, we'll change it.

Can this system reduce TDS?

Please note that this Undersink Water Filtration System cannot reduce TDS.

TDS stands for total dissolved solids. It is composed of inorganic salts and a small amount of organic matter. This filter cannot lower the TDS value because it removes harmful substances while retaining minerals such as potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium, which are beneficial for your body.

Can the system filter well water?

No. This system is designed for Municipal Tap Water. If using well water as the source, please make sure the feed water has been through a pre-filtration system, otherwise, large particles in well water will clog the filter easily and shorten filter life.

Question:	Does it make sence to upgrade this system with deionization filter when it has alkaline filter
Answer:	Smart Flow Sensor Switch powers on/off UV light automatically by water flow, so it must be installed after the storage tank where water flow is high enough, if you install it before the storage tank the water flow will be to slow for the Sensor Switch to turn the light on.

Answer:	TWS is more powerful than ows. 55w compare to 40W. We normally suggest our customer install the OWS unit horizontally. Cause vertically installation might need extra support if the pipe is plastic. But that was not a problem for TWS system.

Answer:	As long as you protect it from freezing, it has to be plugged in, we have it installed inside. We are on a well, have a sediment filter, a carbon filter then the UV water purifier installed in the same line. Going to get a test kit and test the water for bacteria and see how well it does.

Answer:	I am on my first set of these this week. The black filters worked great after emptying 3-4 tanks of their first filtered water. These flouride filters seem to take a LONG time to first flush in the faucet, 20 seconds?? No more like 20 minutes minimum. Once I installed them I might have reached non-oily residue finally after 10-12 tanks have been discarded!! I will see if my theory that is I leave the filtered water to sit overnight again, instead of emptying it into a different container, the oily residue might return, we will see.

Question:	Does this filter remove hormones
Answer:	The answer "ROES-50 system uses a high quality, .0001 micron Reverse Osmosis membrane and 3 carbon filters so it is designed to remove high levels of hormones and pharmaceutical drugs from water" is troublesome. Terms like "high quality" and "high levels" are arbitrary, and it's a safe bet people don't want arbitrary amounts of contaminants removed.
Question:	Hi apec, i see your offshore imitator is offering transparent 1st stage filter housings, why don't you offer one as well
Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.

Question:	When you hook it up to the cold water supply on your kitchen sink faucet, does it reduce the water flow? If so, how bad

Step 1

Turn off the cold water valve and turn on the faucet to ensure that there is no residual water.

Reduce the cold water hose from the cold water valve.

Step 2

Connect the 3/8” female compression end of the inlet hose to the cold water valve.

Connect the other end of the inlet hose to the filter inlet.

Connect the 3/8” male compression end of the outlet hose to the faucet hose. Connect the other end of the outlet hose to the filter outlet.

Step 3

Select the proper fittings to fix the filter.

Option 1-Bracket: Select the proper position on the cabinet wall. Install the bracket and then push the filter into the bracket.

Option 2-Cable tie mounts: Take out 4 cable tie mounts and select the proper position for pasting them. Thread the cable ties into the cable tie mounts and fix the filter.

Step 4

Turn on the cold water valve to flush the filter for 5 minutes. Check for any leakage.
