Answer:	This question was a while ago, but maybe the answer would help others. It says it pulls 4.6 amps, which means it would consume 36.8 amp hours over the course of 8 hours. But two things: first, you can't just use a car battery. You need a deep cycle battery that is designed to be discharged deeply without failing quickly. And even with the right kind of battery, you still can't discharge it below 50% without risking damage to the battery and greatly decreasing its lifespan. So you need a deep cycle battery of at least 73.6 amp hours to run this thing for one eight hour period, and you should probably round up a bit in case it pulls more than it says it's going to, and to make sure you stay well out of the deep discharge danger zone and don't hurt your battery. Answer:	yes it does have to be running or it will drain the battery... this product really doesn't make sense to buy if your heat in your car works since you have to run it anyway... my heat works but i carry a portable generator in my car ...so on trips when its cold and i a going pull over at a rest stop i plug the blanket into the generator and plug the generator into the battery when i get back on the road... the blanket turns itself off at intervals of 30/45 minutes...but in freezing temps it will keep you warm (while its on)... i would recommend it but only with the full disclosure of how it works

Answer:	The cord that comes with it is for the 12volt port in a vehicle or UTV. I don’t see a way to change it to a USB cord.

It has not been over-used ,nor has it been washed yet, but all the High, Medium, and Low lights on the control are blinking and the blanket is not functioning. We tried the manual's troubleshooting of unplugging, etc., but it appears to be broken. I now read the other comments and find this is a common problem. What can we do about this? This was a $67.18 purchase.
