Answer:	This mat sticks directly to the tub. Once it is applied you won't be able to remove it without some great effort. We have had the mat four several years now and have not found it to become slippery using everyday toiletries. I can't speak for a large quantity of oil.

Answer:	My tub was smooth, but it's big enough to go beyond the textured area. Be sure about placement as it is a "one shot" install. You can round the corners to make it fit better. Be sure that the surface is really clean (tilex) and really dry. Unroll the mat and lay it flat to relieve the memory of being rolled up prior to installing. Once it's in place, walk on it to maximize the contact.

Answer:	It doesn't mold or turn gross. Simply spray some 409 on it and scrub with a soft bristle brush. Very easy. It is not cheap paper, it is a vinyl mat. Any good cleaner will do fine.

Answer:	When the tub was dry I used a plastic cooking spatula to lift up a corner and then simply pulled it up. Then to remove the remnants of the old adhesive I used a rage saturated with fingernail polish that contained acetone.

Answer:	I totally agree with Pomaikai. I keep the mat in the laundry room, but my main entrance door is like yours, so I put the mat in front of it just to try and see how it works. It goes well. If the mat would have been 1mm thicker, the door would have caught it. Good luck!

Answer:	Water resistant yes. Stain resistant? I honestly use it in the bath, and there's nothing there that could even begin to stain. But it's glossy, so maybe stain resistant.

Answer:	Yes, this mat has some kind of plastic coating. The bamboo has been coated with varnish or shellac of some sort. If the bamboo had been left untreated, I could have used these mats. I had to return them. I wanted them for the floor of my infrared dry sauna. The coating melts and gets kind of sticky in the heat. It burned my feet. The natural wood slats on the floor of my sauna do not burn my feet at the same temperature. The backing has been glued on, so more chemical exposure there. These mats are nice looking, but all the glue and coating chemicals make them unusable in my home.

Answer:	No, this is a rubber mat made specifically for bathtubs, and needs to be wet to activate the suction cups. It would be a disaster on a hardwood floor. Look for a cotton or other fabric rug with a non-slip backing. Or you can buy non-slip rug backing to adapt a mat you already have (it looks like a rubber net).
Question:	Can this be used inside the tub
