Answer:	There is a bulb in the hose that connects to the pump. The pump just slides onto that hose. In that bulb is a little bead. Squeeze the little bead out of the bulb into the line (either side of the bulb) and the hose is blocked and the device holds its air. Slide the bulb back into the bulb and the air moves freely. You can simply blow the brace up with your breath; you don't need the squeeze bulb.
