Answer:	The top little white section should be already attached. In the bottom of that section, there is a hole, and the other section has a screw-like appendage. Screw that into the hole and keep turning until the two parts form one unit. It is easy.

Answer:	I seem to recall a small leaflet with some instructions for the sock-putter-on device, but I had attended a joint replacement class in which this was demonstrated, so I did not read the instructions. All of the other items don't really need any instructions. It is now 4 weeks since my hip replacement, and I have used all of the items with success. I only needed the leg lifter once or twice, but I use the other items daily. Its a well made set.

Answer:	I havent used in the shower.the grabber itself is rubber and plastic and the extension appears to be aluminum so I would assume so.I have used to load and unload dishwasher and have cleaned the grabber with disinfectant with no ill effects.
