Answer:	Well I use them for my 5 year old Grandson at school and when he's away from home.. The designs are attractive to kids. I'll want to make sure the 3 year old does not take it off and play with it.. There is a bead on either side which is used to adjust the fit, and I'd want to make sure he/she doesn't get it off somehow and put it in his/her mouth.

Once I purchased from the Crayola website, and once through the Amazon site. The loops are thin and comfortable for his ears. The adjustable rubber bead will come off quite easily so I tied a knot in the end once we got it where we wanted it. They are easily pulled under the chin for drinking, wash well and dry quickly. I air dry mine. I would recommend this for children for sure
