I put the compression sock first and make sure my regular sock does not roll up the compression sock up. Another reason for hand-washing is because there is less likelihood of getting a snag. | Answer: | You are the same shoe size as myself, and also have thin ankles and feet along with a thin body frame. For me, they were far too wide at the ankle in particular and provided little to no compression. I don't know if washing in hot water would help but I'm returning these and trying a small. I compared a sleeve I purchased previously with the new ones I received and the new ones (medium) are about 15mm longer (0.6 inches), 20mm (0.8 inches) wider at the top, and 10mm (0.4 inches) wider at the foot end. For me, they are baggy. My injured side has an even thinner ankle and calf due to bone and muscle loss from multiple surgeries and fusions, but the sleeve is also baggy on my good leg. Unfortunately, I cannot tell from my prior orders what size sleeve I purchased as that info isn't provided on Amazon's receipt (they only provide size for the last order). I have written to Profect to see if width has changed but my guess is I got a small previously. I do wish the size I got previous (presumably a small) was slightly longer to cover up higher but I can't use the mediums so guess I'm stuck. |

I sprained my reconstructed ankle. This a great product. I saw a negative review and I’m not sure what or why. It’s been a godsend. It gives great support. Just remember, It is a sleeve and not a brace. These are true to size. |
