Answer:	This would not be good for that application as it is made to only recirculate clean water in a fountain etc.. If it were used in the environment of a yard it would clog quickly and probably burn up.

Answer:	As far as I am aware, pretty much all small submersible pumps are magnetic drives. The impeller of the pump is attached to a floating cylindrical magnet and alternating electro-magnets inside the pump are used to make the impeller spin, hence the name, magnetic drive. It will be fine for an indoor fountain and will probably function much better since there will be much less dirt and plant debris than outdoor use.

Answer:	I use it for a wet saw pump. Very good pump. I don't think you would have a problem for use for antifreeze transfer at all.

Answer:	Box states: 1 ft. at 300 gpm; 3 ft. at 255 gpm; 5 ft. at 205 gpm; 12 ft. at 0 gpm. My pump shoots vertically a bit more than 1 ft. unrestricted which is the full 300 gpm.Outlet is 3/8" I.D. and 1/2" O.D. threaded.
Question:	I need a pump to push water 8 feet high, would this pump do the trick
Answer:	I know that it can push water to 6 feet at a fairly good rate. I usually have to dial it back to about 1/4 turn open to get proper flow for the fountain. I can open the valve all the way but that is too much flow. So at eight feet you may have relatively reasonable flow depending on what your application is. If it is a decorative fountain or pond it should be OK.

Answer:	There are no holes at all and the lid fits on very snugly with a fairly good seal. I see no way that any cat could ever get into this. It's an excellent choice if you have cats.

Answer:	No, it will not reach 8' and it has very little adjustability. For 8', try a PonicsPump PP80006 or PP80016. It will reach 8', but also has limited adjustability. To adjust the flow, you can use a ball valve on the output if needed.
Question:	How deep can the water be? Does it have to be below the power cord connection at a little over 2 inches high, or can it work in deeper water
Answer:	The key to the proper pump size depends on the rise needed...the distance from the pump to the top of the tubing. The tubing diameter will effect this lift distance...smaller the diameter, greater the lift. This pump is perfect for 18" to 24" lift with a 1/2" to 5/8" tube. It will easy lift to 3 feet with smaller tubing
Question:	Do I have to bring it indoors during winter
Answer:	Highly recommend. I dry them in the late fall sun, then store indoors in a utility closet. I do not leave them in an outdoor storage area where the rubber seals would freeze all winter. Mine have lasted for ten years and counting.

Answer:	There are just the two main outlets so I would think that any pin hole leak is a defect. I just use mine to circulate water in a large pond so I probably wouldn't notice. In other words I'm no help but if your using yours to pump water to another location it would cause a pressure loss problem.

Answer:	THese pumps spin by creating a magnetic field so its not mechanical and if the pond goes dry the pump will not burn out. They are very dependable and I have many years of steady performance. That said, they do fail and I had one go bad within a 10 year period of seasonal use (April-Nov)

If caused by debris blockage. Please clean it regularly about once every two months, or add some olive oil on the rotor.

If the water is too little, motor power is too high, so as the water flow level, the swashing water would make loud noises. Please keep the pump under the water level.

Question:	Will the pump automatically shut off if there is insufficient in the fountain for the pump to safely operate
Answer:	No, the fountain pump will not automatically shut off, if the water is too little, motor power is too high, so as the water flow level, the swashing water would make loud noises and the motor may be burned out. Please keep the pump under the water level. Thanks.

Question:	Does this have an on-off switch
Answer:	No I plugged mine into a outlet that was controlled by a light switch. It worked great.
Question:	Would this pump be to strong for a 6-7 gallon large pot fountain
Answer:	In my case the pump is in the basin of 16 gallons for a fountain. The pumping height is about 3 1/2 to 4 feet. Fountain is a pretty large wall type. Hope this answers your question.

Answer:	Yes it has a filter. The product works very well and super easy to install.
Question:	Can fu Juan pump be substituted for jier
Answer:	The jier 600, that’s 150gph right? Well this one is like 200 gph but that’s alright it’s Just less water per hour as long as you don’t have a higher destination( mine pumps 2 ft up from under a water fountain)and you don’t mind a lesser output. It should work. FYI I like the “low water shut offs for outside fountains as I saves the pump from burn out if water gets low on vacation 👍🏾

Answer:	Hello- this pump should work fine as long as your pipe runs and elevation changes are minimal , please be sure it is completely submerged.

Answer:	There is a model that includes the automatic shutoff -- the model 5-ASP. You can purchase and install an accessory switch for 5-MSP that adds automatic startup and shutoff. See my other comment for Little Giant model numbers and specs.
Question:	Does this model use a regular garden hose to drain
Answer:	No a special hose one inch and 1/4 , the seller have this hose . My email is [email protected] send me one , and i will take a photo of the hose you need. If you use only one garden hose the pump is forse to work harder. I died something long time ago used a pvc pipe 1 1/4 and a T with two connection for 2 water hose and work very good for me , also i can take a photo of what I did. Answer:	The only “setting” I have seen, allow you to have it spray straight up off of the arms vs water spraying up at an angle. Just twist the end of the arm, where the holes are.
Question:	Has anyone found a way around using the plastic hose adapter part? The older version has a metal hose clamp that attaches the hose to the bowl and it never leaked. Got this one and the plastic adapter broke within 2 days of taking it out of the box and the hose pops out the minute pressure builds ( even on dribble). Sigh

Answer:	As long as the human has a tongue it should work fine in a work cubicle. The way it works is you lick the ball at the end of the metal pipe. 50 licks should get you about 4 Tablespoons of room temp water. One enormous benefit is that within a couple of weeks your tongue will be so muscular you'll be the most sought after "romantic" partner at your company. Play your cards right & you could be getting a promotion to a corner office with a window.

Question:	I can’t get this bottle secured! Any suggestions? I tried putting on outside and is better but still moves around too much
Answer:	My water bottle also moves around. I have it hanging on the outside of the cage as well but most of the time it's crooked. As long as it doesn't fall off, for me, it's fine. You can try adding another wire to the bottom half of the bottle and securing the hooks on the verticle bars of the cage or something. I haven't tried that yet so I don't know if it'll work.
