| Answer: | No the heel is not covered. In the back two peices come together like panels, the foot slips through the hole so that it covers the entite front of the ankle. I think this is to get it on and off eaiser. But in the back its open with s tiny strap to keep the two sides together. The strap causes issues with it fitting in a shoe its low enough to where it hits the heel in the shoe, making it very difficult and in my take a trip hazard as the only way to wear it is to loosen your laces to wear the shoe slides on and off. In the picture given it looks like the heel is covered because there is a wrap around strap to hold the two sides together further up as the sides go up your calfs pretty high. But thr straps do not cover the heel in the back. So the picture is false advertising, or they should include pictured. I love aircast boots, but they really made this horribly. It hurts my ankle, heel and calfs to wear. It is un-useable. I have pictures if you need them. Hope this helps. Ty |

| Answer: | You have two types of braces, ankle and a leg brace. The ankle brace is for minor sprains, weak ankles, and the 18" leg brace is for high sprains, stress fractures and for minor ankle fractures. The small leg brace is narrower in width for a very petite person. The "one size fits most" can be adjusted for width. I strongly suggest getting the anterior panel and using it until over the acute phase, as it does provide more support and is more comfortable. Make sure you get 2-packs of sock liners, so you can go three days without washing them. You should not put the Aircast directly against your skin. Over the calf boot socks will work but do not have as much fluff, therefore will not be as comfortable. I have used the Aircast brand for years and when I recently broke my ankle and ordered one as soon as I got home from the ER. I then went to a podiatrist for follow-up care. | Answer: | I know nothing about the Air Select but on the XP, I broke my Ankle in 3 places ( walking it rolled over on me ) and the Aircast XP allowed me to carry on as good as can be! It gave me plenty of adjustable and customized support! I am 6’ tall and weigh 245 lbs and the XP does very well for me, still using it! |

The Aircast AirHeel Ankle Support Brace and Dorsal Night Splint (DNS) Care Kit includes both the Aircast AirHeel Ankle Support Brace (without stabilizers) and the Aircast Dorsal Night Splint. During the day, the Aircast AirHeel treats plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and heel pain by applying pulsating compression with every step, which helps reduce swelling and enhance circulation. It's designed with 2 interconnected air cells, located under the foot arch and in back of the Achilles tendon. When you take a step, the first air chamber (under the arch) begins to collapse, thus reducing the stress to the plantar fascia under the arch. Air is then forced into the chamber surrounding the Achilles tendon, which in turn inflates. The inflated Achilles chamber applies compression to the Achilles tendon to shorten the lever arm, therefore reducing strain on the tendon. It's made of a latex-free, compression spandex with air cells incased in waterproof nylon. These air cells have been tested with 1,000 lbs. of pressure, which enables them to withstand the force from running, jumping and landing, and other high impact activities. The Aircast AirHeel Support Brace is already inflated, so no pump is needed. The Aircast AirHeel is constructed of lightweight, breathable materials. During the night, the Aircast Dorsal Night Splint (DNS) allows you to get a good night's sleep and start your day on the right foot. It delivers a comfortable, tailored flexion to relieve pain from plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendonitis. The thermoformed shell liner and an anatomically designed forefoot pad help cradle the foot and ankle, providing superior comfort. The dorsiflexion adjustment strap provides custom stretch. The Aircast Dorsal Night Splint has a 3-point adjustment and a flexible hinge design, which allows the splint to slide on like a sock. This night splint features an optional toe assist strap that secures toes within the forefoot area. Universal fit allows the Aircast AirHeel and the Aircast Dorsal Night Splint (DNS) to be worn on either the left or right leg.
