Answer:	I found the instruction confusing also. What seems to work for me: Make sur batteries are charged. Put on socks. Turn batteries on by holding the on/off button until 4 green lights appear on the battery. Do this for each one. Plug the socks into the battery and push down into the pocket on each sock. Finally, push the round button on the remote until a red light appears which indicates high level. Push this button again and green light goes on indicating medium level of heat. A third push causes a blue light which is the lowest level. This can be done to both socks at once by holding the remote between the two socks. Takes a bit of time for them to warm up but not too much. Hope this helps!

Answer:	There is a “L” and “R” on the snowflakes of the snowshoes. To answer your question: The one piece blue part of the strap would go on the outside edge of the foot. If you notice the yellow plastic foot piece of the snowshoe, it is curved on one side and flat on the other. The curve edge also aligns with the outside edge of the boot. At least that’s how we use them and no one has died yet. Good luck!
