11 best aid batteries
Aid batteries are not directly related to Cooktop Cleaners, Kitchen Cleaners, Household Cleaning, Household Supplies, or Health Household. Aid batteries are typically associated with hearing aids. These small, button-cell batteries are designed to power hearing aids and are an essential component for individuals with hearing impairments.
Hearing aid batteries come in various sizes, typically color-coded for easy identification. The most common sizes include:
- Size 10 (yellow)
- Size 13 (orange)
- Size 312 (brown)
- Size 675 (blue)
The size you need depends on the specific hearing aid model you use. It's crucial to use the correct size of battery to ensure proper functioning and longevity of your hearing aid.
Hearing aid batteries are known for their long-lasting power and reliability. However, their lifespan can vary based on factors like the type of hearing aid, usage patterns, and the individual's hearing needs. Generally, you can expect hearing aid batteries to last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
To maximize the lifespan of your aid batteries, it's essential to store them in a cool, dry place and remove the plastic tab covering the battery's air hole before inserting it into your hearing aid. This allows air to activate the battery.
In summary, aid batteries are small button-cell batteries used to power hearing aids and are essential for individuals with hearing impairments. These batteries come in various sizes and are designed for reliable, long-lasting performance. User questions & answers
Question: | are they made in the U.S |
Answer: | The information on the back of the package of hearing aid batteries that I purchased state they are made in the USA. |
Question: | I have difiulty locating Rayovac 312 1.45 hearing aid batteries. CVS is always out of them |
Answer: | The Rayovac Proline 312A batteries are all 1.45V and we always have plenty on hand and ready to ship. Thanks,Local Battery |
Question: | If they are 312a then I can not use them because I use |
Answer: | 312 and 312a are interchangeable.... you can use either |
Question: | What is the voltage? What's the difference between a 312 and 312a |
Answer: | there is no difference between a 312 battery and a 312a. It is a manufacturers designation only, The batteries are the same. Voltage is shown either as 1.4V or 1.45V. Both will work perfectly in hearing aids designed for size 312 batteries. One thing all battery manufacturers agree on is that you should let a new battery stand in the air for about 60 seconds before closing the lid and using the hearing device. They are all "Zinc-Air" and must be activated before use. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this hearing aid have two holes or four holes on the back? i have an fm system that i use with a baha and it only works with 4 hole batteries |
Answer: | I think you are confused. the number of holes in the battery is only to let in air to activate the electro-chemical process. it has nothing to do with the suitability for a particular product. These are size 13A, 1.45 volt and will work in any product designed to take that size and voltage battery, no matter how many holes in it. |
Question: | what is the current expiration date for proline size 13 you have on the shelf |
Answer: | i am a user of the batteries, not a supplier. However, my last several experiences with Ray-O-Vac were not good. some batteries which previously lasted 10 days were failing after as little as 30 minutes, even with expiration dates years away. i've swittched and am doing as expected with my new source. |
Question: | Where can I find an A10 battery |
Answer: | Google is your friend. |
Question: | Is size 13A same as A |
Answer: | what size battery is thicker than a A312 battery |

User questions & answers
Question: | All 312 batteries test "good" even dead ones. Any solution to this problem, can't return tester |
Answer: | I have not had this problem. BUT for correct reading you must hold the test button down for about 10 seconds. The tester applies a current load on the battery, so an instantaneous test will not be accurate. To check if the tester is defective, make one test with a brand new battery, and compare with a test on a dead battery. The only power source is the tested battery itself, so if you see a deflection of the pointer with a dead battery, the battery is not dead! |
Question: | Will this test LR44 batteries |
Answer: | This tester has 4 openings to handle various sized batts. It works by pushing down a red grip at the top of tester to squeeze the battery between the contacts. I think there is room to test these and some other sized 1.5 volt button cells. |
Question: | Will it test 357 batteries |
Answer: | I dot know if it will test 357 batteries. Look at the 4 slots on the front of the tester. Each slot is for a different battery. If it has a slot for 357 then it will test them. |
Question: | Will this test all sizes of button batteries |
Answer: | As far as I know, just hearing aid batteries, sizes 675, 13, 312 and one other size I can't remember right now. Hope this helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the expiration date |
Answer: | The expiration date is 2021. I seem to be getting 7 or sometimes 8 days per use. I know I will use them before the expiration date. They have performed better than other batteries I have purchased. |
Question: | what is the experire date |
Answer: | Date of Expiration on these Batteries? |
Question: | If the battery is "air activated" will it start deteriorating as soon as the tab is removed, even without being used |
Answer: | Yes. Absolutely they will start deteriorating as soon as the tab is removed. This is the way the batteries work; they use air as part of the chemical reaction. It's not a problem. Simply leave the tab on until you're ready to use them. Once the tab is removed, the batteries will self-discharge, even if not connected to anything, within a few weeks. I am speaking as a non-scientist who understands science and knows how to look stuff up! Check wikipedia for starters ("zinc air"). Quote from wikipedia: "Miniature cells have high self-discharge once opened to air; the cell's capacity is intended to be used within a few weeks." Note the flaw in the "scientist's" answer: he just assumed, pulling this information out of the "air" (pun intended), that the non-tabbed battery wouldn't discharge much if there were no completed circuit. This false assumption ignores the chemistry of the battery. Once exposed to oxygen, the battery will begin its oxygenation process whether it's connected or not. So unless you live in a vacuum, in which case you'd probably find breathing difficult, just don't pull off the tab until a couple minutes before you're ready to use the battery. |
Question: | Where are these batteries made |
Answer: | The Duracell 312 batteries that I use are made in Elwangen, Germany. They come in a plastic lidded packet of four or six. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it true that I can put them in The refrigerator to have them last longer |
Answer: | No, these are zinc air batteries and they should be stored in a dry cool place. Putting them in a refrigerator will actually ruin them. You should store them in a dry cool place like a bedside drawer in a room that is not humid or hot. |
Question: | v batteries |
Answer: | yes |
Question: | how long does each battery last on average |
Answer: | They last a full week in my hearing aids which I wear 15 hours a day. Same amount of time as much more expensive batteries. |
Question: | In the description it says to expose to air for 1 minute to activate. Is this really necessary |
Answer: | According to my audiologist, regulations now forbid the use of mercury in hearing aid batteries, so the modern ones run on different electro-chemical principles than batteries did formerly. If you look closely, you'll see tiny holes in the back of the battery that allow air to enter the battery once the tab is removed. This step, apparently, is necessary to give the battery a little head start in its operation. Again, my audiologist tells me that it's her experience that a 10-minute wait is preferable to a 2-3 minute wait in order to get maximum life out of a battery. My wife and I have been observing the 10-minute practice and find that the batteries last a little more than a week using them up to about 12 hours per day. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the expiration date if I ordered today |
Answer: | It turns off automatically as soon as it’s inactive. So nothing connected to it. There is no on and off switch it activates when you connect a device to it or the jumper cables. |
Question: | expiration date? What would be the expiration date if I order these today |
Answer: | The charge USB cable plugs into a wall adapter that is the same output as most cell phone chargers it has an output of 5 volts DC 3.4 amps max, mine is 110 volt input from the wall. I charge mine off the usb power outlet in my truck. |
Question: | Expiration date of what I would order today |
Answer: | (1) Wall outlet to USB/USBC adapter (1) USB to USBC cable (1) USBC to USBC cable (1) Cigarette lighter-style socket to 5.5mm barrel adapter (1) Very short jumper cable set (make sure battery is extremely accessible for easy use) (1) Power cell (1) User manual (1) Card that states they want to hear your voice without leaving contact info It all barely fits in the case, so putting away the large alligator clip cables with the large box-end plug is a chore. The finger cutout to remove the power cell is good for children's fingers, but not adults. |
Question: | Experation date |
Answer: | I would say at least once a month just to keep it topped off but could go longer depending on the weather and how hot and cold it gets. |
