Answer:	If you stick with the “silver” ones, they are stainless steel and not plated, and these keep their finish just fine. The three other colors are plated and the various platings will eventually rub off. I have used clear fingernail polish in the past to coat plated jewelry items when I first received them, which works pretty well to hold-off the wearing-off of electroplating. I have never tried to heat or bake on any type of paint, and would certainly not try this will fingernail polish as it is flammable and would probably cause it to catch fire.

Answer:	From what i know, it puts out a cool mist. You put water up to the fill line, add the oil and turn it on. The problem i had with this product is that after about 3 months of use, the cover would be very difficult to remove even after cleaning. The rim became very sticky like a glue. i tried everything to remove it but nothing worked. I ended up throwing it away. I'll stick to my wax melts!!
