If you don’t stretch them at all, they’d still be fine for someone under 5’3” too.i got them to wear under boots that come up to my knees and they are perfect. I’m delighted. They’re fine without the boots too. I have the black bamboo ones and the white ones which are cotton. The cotton ones are a little softer.. I hope this helps!

Answer:	I think so, because my calf is 16.5 inches and I am able to put both hands inside the socks to stretch them another six inches. These are soft and comfy. The complete sock is very stretchy.
