Answer:	I can't say what is different with other purple ear plugs. What I can say is that the Flent Qiuet Time variety are very soft/comfortable to wear, easy to insert as the stay compressed long enough to get the plug seated in the ear canal. And they do block most of the sound.

Answer:	Absolutely! I have been using this product for years now. Its blocks tv, snoring, barking, and other annoying background noise when your trying to sleep. As long as my alarm clock is close to me...perhaps bedside table...you can still hear it.

Answer:	I don't use them all the time. I can use them one or two dozen times over the course of two or three months before I need to replace them from the (sealed) package. I have very little wax in my ears, so rather than wax buildup I find that I replace them mostly when they get too dusty from being out on the night table so long.

Answer:	Yes if you’re a light sleeper and have the volume up you can hear it. It doesn’t block every bit of noise, it just bring the pitch of the noise down. I can still hear my husband and kids talking, it’s just not as loud and a bit muffled but I can understand them.

CHECK FIT

Check fit after ear plug expands in ear. Touch ear plug. You should feel only the end of ear plug. Listen to steady loud noise with ear plugs in both ears. Cover ears with tightly cupped hands. Noise should sound about the same whether or not ears are covered.

IMPROPER FIT

If you feel most of ear plug outside the ear canal, remove ear plug and repeat fitting. If you cannot obtain a good fit, try a different size or type of hearing protector.

Answer:	I do not know the answer to this question...however, maybe this will help. They are basic and cheap....even though they are cheap....the kids wore them and didn't complain about them being uncomfortable. I highly doubt they have an anti scratch and anti fog coating on them. But they got the job done and would be something that I would purchase again.

Answer:	I have never tried the Mack's Ultra ear plugs. I have used the 3M 1100 Foam Ear Plugs for several years now and love them! They are very comfortable and keeps the noise out.

Answer:	Hi,These ear plugs are meant to reduce the decibel levels by 29 dBA. So if you were working in an environment of 100 db the effective sound level at your ears would be 71 dBA. BUT according to OSHA you shouldn't assume the maximum amount of reduction, they say as a safe rule of thumb that you should consider the reduction to be only 50% of the listed reduction. So in the case of these ear plugs where the dBA is 29 according to OSHA you should consider them to be good for only 15 dBA. So to go back to your question, of course they would work in a 29 to 32 dBA environment. To give you an idea what sounds are at what dBA's - 20 dBA is Whispers or rustling leaves, 40 dBA is a Library, 60 dBA is typical office conversations, 80 dBA is a Garbage Disposal running or a Dishwasher, 90 dBA is a Food Blender or Busy Street, 100 dBA is a Jackhammer, Power Mower, an Outboard Motor on a boat, 120 dBA is Live Rock Music or a Chain Saw.Hope this helps...

Question:	Will this product prevent me from hearing my alarm clock in the morning? I'm only concerned about blocking out noise from parties outside my door
Answer:	I can't think of a good reason why not if they're over about 5-6. I wouldn't think they'd be for under 5-6 minimum.They are graduated bell shaped "pellets" with a thin plastic strip/cord running from one to the other. They really do block out the noise. I always keep a pair in my purse for travel and I've used them for a number of years now for sleep. They're wonderful!
Question:	How well do they block out snoring
Answer:	I wear them in the gym because the music is too loud when I take spinning and cardio classes. I would think they would block out wind noise too. They are very durable and you can wash them too. I have several pairs and have used them for a few years. Love love them.
Question:	if you are in a room with a t.v. and people talking , and you are trying to read will they block out all noise
Answer:	I bought these to protect my ears from my husband's snoring. Not only do they work well, but they are comfortable, and I don't notice them. However, the cord breaks fairly easily (you don't really need it when sleeping in them, anyway), and over time, the smallest flange will pop out. The first pair I tried lasted about 9 months. Since several come in a pack, you should be good to go. These do block out sounds really well, and are my favorites of the several types I've tried.
Question:	Do these work for sleeping on your side? I find that ear plugs either fall out or just get really uncomfortable because I sleep on my side
Answer:	Yes. They cut sound by about half unless you really cram them in. Consider snipping the cord off as when some/thing rips one out it feels like it ruptures the eardrum.
