Answer:	Most the time yes. It keeps water out unless I don’t keep all my hair up under the cap. Sometimes water gets under cap a bit but rarely in my ears. However I don’t use ear plugs now that I have the cap. I do have a very small head so that may be why I get some water in under the cap at times.

Answer:	it will fit her well - i am 5'2" and wear a medium. i have gifted 4 of these and have the lavender one; all the colors are beautiful.

Answer:	Depends how long you want it to hang. At under $30 I'd get a M and L and see which works best. I'm 5'3 140 and M was too big/long. Very thin material, not plush
