Answer:	I did not see a date on these but most of the similar items.....like those from Augason Farms have a shelf life of at least 10 years if not opened....Once opened that goes out the window as there is moisture in the form of humidity so I would not expect more than 6 to 12 months shelf life depending on how well you seal them after opening and environment that you store them in....hope this is helpful

Answer:	I don’t know about just cooking it by itself in water. I used it in soup and rice dishes. I cook my soups for at least an hour if not more. It softened up in my rice following the usual cooked rice directions, but adding a little extra water.

When re-hydrated, a cup of these dehydrated vegetables makes a lot of veggies.

My bag is heavy on the carrots, so probably nutritionally, it has a high carb count, but it doesn't have a salty taste. Unfortunately, the packaging does not include any nutritional information. Answer:	Yes, add a couple of spoon fulls of this and the freeze dried peas to the bowl when you microwave the ramen. It reconstitutes quickly and it really helps the flavor, and is easy to have on hand.

Answer:	As long as you keep the silica packet in the package, it should last indefinitely...as its dehydrated, there's no moisture in there to let it spoil.

Answer:	I was also disturbed that the image didn’t match what I received. The container I received is labeled as 5 oz (141g) and the contents is actually 6.75 oz (191g), both lower than the image. In their defense the volume is a full quart as written. I am shopping for ingredients for some Milk Bar recipes and it is much cheaper from Milk Bar directly and it is pre-ground.

Question:	Some of these dried veggy soup product are high in carrots or some other veggy instead of a nice even blend. It's hard to tell from the picture
Answer:	Nice mix/blend. I'm ordering my second jar today. I use it for soup but it is also handy for just throwing a handful into other things. I just made rice in beef bullion with golden raisins and a fistful of these veggies. Delicious and painlessly added veggies (my nemesis).
Question:	Are there tomatoes in this mix? It is hard to tell by looking at it
Answer:	I sent my Purchase back because the seal was open. I ended up ordering veg. flakes from "DENVER SPICE" company. I was buying TONES veg.flakes for 30 yrs. and then Tones stopped making them which was very disappointing because they were the best on the market, so for the last 10 yrs. I have been going on line to buy them which most do have tomatoes in the mix but still have a good flavor. You just have to try different brands until u find the one you like best.

Answer:	Mine arrived without directions as well. However, the direction are now up on the Amazon product's site. It states to add six parts water to one part of product. I'm using mine to make a single cup of soup. I use 2 cups of water to 1/3 cup of mix.
Question:	Do they have to be cooked?,and if so for how long
Answer:	Hi Eduardo. I did a review on this product. It's pretty detailed. However, I can help u I think. U can reconstitute these flakes in water or a liquid of your choice to soften them. You can use them straight from the jar in whatever food your cooking as long as there's some liquid for steam or softening. You can also grind these in a grinder to make evn smaller & easier digestible & even open up more of the flavors. I use the grinds as meat ( chicken, beef, pork, fish etc.) rub. I use this with other dry ingredients to rub on & season meats & other foods. U can also use the grounded flakes ( which is almost a dense powder ) to add to healthy smoothies if that's your thing. It's very versatile. If u want to just eat them as is, u probably should soften them first in liquid. U would put them in a bowl & cover with liquid & let them sit like that for about 20 minutes or so. Times depends on how quickly they soften up. Or however soft u want them. So, your answer is defined above but shorter is reconstitute before use unless you're going to add them directly to a recipe. I think you'll really like the convenience of this mix. It's a good find. I highly recommend it. I hope this helps u some.

Answer:	As long as no moisture gets in the vegetables will last way past a year. Me personally, once opened I repackage the veggies in quart freezer bags and double seal the bags to keep moisture out and put in a 5 gallon bucket. I’ll fix Raman noodles and put a tablespoon of veggies in with an extra cup of water and feed two people easily.
Question:	How much does 5lbs make
Answer:	Lots. I like a lot of vegetables in soup or stew and use about 1/2 cup per quart of soup. I'd say that ratio is about 20 gallons of soup.
Question:	How many cups are there in the 5 pound bag
Answer:	I would estimate between 15 and 20 cups of vegetables in the 5lb bag.
Question:	What is a complete list of ingredients
Answer:	There is no ingredient list on the label. But I can tell you what I think is in it. Onions, carrots, green peppers, possibly celery And sweet red peppers.
