User questions & answers
Question: | Is this product usda certified organic |
Answer: | Nothing is mention about organic on the package. It does show a kosher emblem and that it’s suitable for vegetarians. |
Question: | Can the seller please include the back label image showing your address and contact information |
Answer: | If you provide your email - I can attach an image. Address:15 Holt Drive, Stony Point NY Phone: 802-440-0737 Email: [email protected] |
Question: | Can anyone prove that this product is made only of birch trees grown in US and contains nothing else |
Answer: | I am on my second 5 lb. package. I like it better than the other alternatives because there isn’t any funny aftertaste or bitterness and it measures like sugar. The package has the “made in USA” seal and there are no other ingredients listed besides “pure xylitol crystals“. I’ve read that xylitol can be made from corncobs or birch/hardwood trees. The corncob xylitol is produced in China. The bag says “100% pure from real birch”. This is the best that I can do to answer your question. You might want to call the company. |
Question: | Will xylitol work in breaf recipes using almond or coconut flour |
Answer: | I have a Xylitol book and I just looked it up as I haven't tried it in bread. It says it can be used like sugar in many things, it "almost" matches all the properties of sugar. Good substitute in hot drinks, cakes, cookies, and other baked foods, great on fruit and cereal. BUT...yeast cannot metabolize it so Xylitol cannot be used to bake breads or other foods made with yeast. So now I have that answer too....good luck. |

DureLife XYLITOL Sugar Substitute
DureLife is proud to claim our xylitol 100% birch, and for good reason. Many studies have concluded that xylitol made from birch are of superior quality and benefit. Although it is more expensive to produce, DureLife prides in bringing the utmost best quality Xylitol available.
DureLife Xylitol replaces sugar in equal measurement. It has no aftertaste, carries the OU kosher certification, and is free of GMO, corn, wheat, gluten, soy and dairy. It is very pure, even in consistency and is crystallized just like sugar. Our xylitol come in a handy resealable package for convenient use and storage.
DureLife xylitol is produced in the USA unlike many xylitol brands being produced in various Asian countries. Our xylitol is absolutely pesticide free and absolutely the best.
Birch Xylitol for Weight loss
Xylitol has 40% less calories and 75% less carbohydrates than sugar.
Xylitol also contains zero net effective carbohydrates, whereas sugar contains 4 grams per teaspoon. Therefore, Xylitol is great for those trying to lose weight or for those on a low carbohydrate or low calorie diet.
Low Glycemic Index
One of the negative effects of sugar is that it can spike blood sugar levels and insulin levels. It can also lead to insulin resistance and all sorts of metabolic problems. Xylitol is a natural sweetener and has negligible effects on blood sugar and insulin levels. Therefore, none of the harmful effects of sugar apply to xylitol. Xylitol is an excellent sugar alternative for people with diabetes, pre-diabetes, obesity or any other metabolic problems.
Birch Xylitol for Oral Health
Tooth decay happens when bacteria in your mouth consume the sugars we eat by giving oral bacteria energy allowing them to multiply and make acid. The acid attack the enamel resulting in tooth decay and cavity. Xylitol is a natural sweetener. It does not break down like sugar and can help keep a neutral pH level in the mouth. Because the bacteria in the mouth that are causing cavities are unable to digest xylitol, their growth is greatly reduced. The number of acid-producing bacteria may fall as much as 90%. After taking xylitol, the bacteria do not stick well on the surface of the teeth and as a result, the amount of plaque decreases. Less Bacteria, less acid = healthier teeth.
The DureLife Xylitol Difference
- DureLife Xylitol is made from birch (not from corn or other fruits).
- DureLife Xylitol is manufactured and packaged in the usa (not in china like most companies).

User questions & answers
Question: | How does this compare with Monkfruit or Monkfruit/erythritol blend |
Answer: | One advantage of kabocha extract is that it does not crystallize as erythritol does, when used as a sweetener in melted chocolate or caramel. I blend it with monkfruit/erythritol blends when making pecan-caramel-chocolate turtles, to achieve a better consistency to the caramel. |
Question: | Does bocha sweet dissolve in cold milk and heavy cream to be used in keto ice cream recipes? does it turn grainy or crystallize after freezing |
Answer: | BochaSweet works great as a sweetener in ice cream. Search keto ice cream Bochasweet for recipes and video. |
Question: | What is the scientific name of this sugar |
Answer: | Xylose, which is a pentose sugar |
Question: | Where is BochaSweet manufactured |
Answer: | Asia is a very broad answer. can you specify? |

User questions & answers
Question: | How many carbs per serving |
Answer: | 0 carbs per serving - all carbs are erythritol that you cannot metabolize. |
Question: | Can you cook and bake with this |
Answer: | Yes, Sukrin Gold is very suitable for both cooking and baking. It provides the exact same sweetness as regular brown sugar. |
Question: | This says it has malt extract but is also gluten free, was that a misprint? Also is the erythritol sourced from corn |
Answer: | This product is not labeled gluten free in the US as it has malt extract. The amount is minuscule and the total gluten content has been tested to be below 7 ppm - which is why it is considered a gluten free product in Europe (origin) where the limit is 20 ppm, malt extract or not. The erythritol is primarily sourced from non-gmo corn grown in Switzerland. |
Question: | Will this carmelize and recrystalize like normal brown sugar would |
Answer: | I have been told it will caramelize like regular brn sugar but not sure I grasp 2nd part of your question. Are you looking for results such as you get in chocolate chip cookies? Or could you describe a bit more re the recrystalization, please? |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this product contain any carbs? Thank you |
Answer: | The carbs are listed as 4g, which is the "sugar alcohols", which is the erythritol. However, NET-carbs of erythritol are zero (hence, it's also called "Zerose"), since it is excreted before it can enter the blood stream. |
Question: | What is the difference, if any, between the Lakanto Golden Sweetener and the Lakanto White Sweetener |
Answer: | I've found no difference in the taste between the golden and classic. For me they are both equally good replacement for sugar. When I use the golden for baking, the color comes out a little darker than if I use the classic. |
Question: | What is the percentage by volume of erythritol and what percentage is Luo Han Guo |
Answer: | This is almost pure erythritol, about 99%. Erythritol is about 70% as sweet as sugar. They add enough Monk Fruit to make it as sweet as sugar. Being 99% erythritol by weight would not be deceptive because Monk Fruit is 150 to 200 times as sweet as sugar. What is deceptive is that only 30% of the sweetness comes from Monk Fruit. Thus it should be call Erythritol enhanced with Monk Fruit, rather than Monk Fruit sweetener. Having stated this, other than potential digestive problems resulting from erythritol not being digestible, there is nothing wrong with a sweetener being 70% erythritol and 30% Monk Fruit by sweetness, except calling it Monk Fruit sweetener. If you want a granulated Monk Fruit sweetener with a higher percentage of Monk Fruit, you will have to look for one that is not a one for one replacement for sugar, or uses a less sweet base than erytritol. |
Question: | What are all the ingredients listed for this product |
Answer: | Lakanto isn't truely a "Monkfruit Sweetner", except as a marketing gimmick. It is basically the same thing as Truvia, except that it is substituting in a bit of monk fruit instead of stevia to increase the sweetness so that it is more like using sugar in proportion. This is made even more obvious by their marketing it as a 1:1 substitute for sugar, while distracting people with the (erroneous) note that actual monk fruit is 300x the sweetness of sugar. It would be more honest to market their product as an "Erythritol sweetner" with monk fruit extract, but that's not as marketable. |

Every purchase of Stevia Select organic stevia, includes a tiny smidgen scoop. This very small spoon is actually 1/32 of a teaspoon in size and equals the sweetness of 1 teaspoon of white sugar
Versatile Lid
- Sift or shake from the side with the holes. *The openings are large and we suggest only shaking from 1 hole by using a toothpick to poke a hole thru the inner lining. This will prevent over-sweetening which can taste bitter.
- Use the wide opening for measuring larger amounts for baked goods. See our measurement chart above to determine the amount of stevia needed to replace sugar in your favorite recipe.
Convenient Size
Our 1 oz. bottle is small enough to take on-the-go. Toss in your purse, keep at the office, or pack it in your suitcase when you travel.
Bulk Size
Purchase our larger size of 16 oz. or 4 oz. for greater savings. Use from the resealable sturdy zip-lock bag or transfer into a reusable 1 oz. size for easier use.

User questions & answers
Question: | is it granular free flow suagr |
Answer: | It is granular and free flowing, just like sugar. I've used it to bake muffins and it's excellent. I would purchase it again and highly recommend it. |
Question: | Can this be used as a brown sugar alternative or does this come in a brown sugar variety |
Answer: | It won't have the brown sugar flavor. It tastes exactly as white sugar. As far as I know it doesn't come in the brown sugar flavor. Try Sukrin Gold or Swerve Brown. |
Question: | Is this a sugar alcohol |
Answer: | Its a pentose which has a different molecular structure than xylitol or erythritol but is included in the sugar alchohol catagory. |
Question: | Does this cause a cooling effect like xylitol, erythitol or monkfruit sweetener blend |
Answer: | I have sensed the cooling in other alternative sugars, but DID NOT notice it in my sweets made with Bocha. This is made from the Kabocha squash. I guess it is an individual thing - but I was glad I tried Bocha - I liked it better than other alternatives. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is dextrose exactly |
Answer: | Dextrose is a form of glucose derived from starches. It is one of the most commonly used ingredients in packaged foods because of its affordability and wide availability. Baking products and desserts often contain dextrose, but it may be used as an added sugar in any processed food that is sweetened by the manufacturer |
Question: | Is this the same MF that Walmart sells for $2.45 for |
Answer: | Yes, I get this exact Brand at my natural grocers for $3.98 for 40 ct. this price is a rip off here! |
Question: | How was this made with dextrose yet essentially has no carbs or sugar? Isn’t dextrose sugar |
Answer: | Dextrose is a sugar. They are playing with numbers. Each packet contains 0.8 grams of 'stuff'. If it were all dextrose, then a packet would have 0.8 cal and 0.8 g of carbs/sugar. The monk fruit has no sugar or carbs and 0 cal. Unlike monk fruit, dextrose can also cause spikes in glucose levels. Generally speaking, if you are following a low-carb diet and/or are diabetic, it is best to stay away from things with dextrose. (As a side note, my calorie and carbs/sugar amounts came from some of the calorie counting websites.) |
Question: | can someone please give me the list of ingredients |
Answer: | Only two: dextrose (a natural ingredient) and Monk Fruit Extract. This information is taken right off the box itself. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How does this have zero net carbs? Nutrition label shows 4g of carbs per serving and it has zero fiber and zero sugar alcohols. That equals 4g of net |
Answer: | RxSugar® is a low-calorie natural plant-based sugar and, per the FDA, is different from other sugars in that it is not metabolized by the human body in the same way as table sugar. RxSugar uses Allulose, which is clinically and scientifically proven to have zero net carbohydrate impact; this is why the Allulose carbohydrates are subtracted from the Total Carbs to produce zero net carbohydrates. Allulose is a natural sugar that does not affect your blood sugar or insulin levels. For all products, the Net Carb Calculation is Total Carbs less Allulose Carbs = Zero Net Carbs. |
Question: | Does it taste like stevia |
Answer: | RxSugar has the cleanest sugar flavor. No menthol-like ‘cooling effect’, no bitterness, no chemical flavors, or any strange aftertaste. RxSugar tastes very much like sugar. One important note is that RxSugar is somewhat less sweet than sugar. Adding a little extra will make your coffee or cake almost as sugary as toxic cane sugar. Stevia is between 30-200 times sweeter than sugar making it have an extremely potent flavor and strange aftertaste. RxSugar tastes the most like traditional sugar without the negative impacts of cane sure or the lack of functionality as Stevia or sugar posers. |
