User questions & answers
Question: | where can I get a sample of this? I don't want tob spend money on something I might discard |
Answer: | Nice try...Nothing for free in this world. Suggest buying the smallest amount to "sample." Basically, as someone who has used only this as my sweetner of choice for the past year, it adds a nice subtle (depending on how much you use) sweetness to recipes and drinks, just like sugar without the gluc spike. Recomnend getting the fine powder over the granulated though, for more uses. |
Question: | It does taste great! But it isn't carb free, it's the same as sugar 1tsp = 4 carbs. Why buy this expensive product |
Answer: | half the sugar alcohols are subtracted from the carbs. A serving of this is 4g carbs & Erythritol (sugar alcohol) are also 4g. So there are only 2 carbs per serving. This makes a huge difference in the long term. I put 2 tsps of sugar in my coffee, that's 8g carbs just in the coffee, now its only 4. Baking.. huge difference. And any fiber you add to your recipe, is 1:1 subtraction from carbs. |
Question: | Is this as good as the Swerve brand |
Answer: | I used Swerve and enjoyed using it as a sugar substitute. Since I do a lot of cooking (Keto) I decided to look for something that was as good as Swerve but more inepensive and in a larger quantity. The Erythritol (3 lb package) is a great value and tastes the same. In my opinion it's as good as Swerve. |
Question: | Is this made from corn??? Please don’t answer “it’s made from a plant”. I specifically want to know if it’s coming from corn... thank you |
Answer: | The seller answered saying it is made from non-GMO corn and the packaged claims it is made in USA. But non-GMO corn is not grown in the U.S. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the ratio of this sweetener to regular sugar for baking? Is it 1 to |
Answer: | No you’ll need to add extra. If it calls for one cup sugar you will use 1 1/3 cup Erythritol. It’s what I use to sweeten all my baked goods and I love it! |
Question: | what is the bag made of, does it contribute anything bad to the product? thanks |
Answer: | Love the product. Packaging does not contribute smell or taste to the product. |
Question: | This product is listed as 100% erythritol, but several questions answered by other buyers said it is a mixture of sugar/stevia. Which is it |
Answer: | Whole Earth makes some different products. This one that is showing is 100% Erythritol, but they make another one called Baking Blend that is sugar/stevia. |
Question: | In what country is this product made |
Answer: | USA??? How do you know? In fact -- counry of origin is far from clear. Company's FAQ on this product says only: Whole Earth Erythritol is manufactured for Whole Earth Sweetener Company, LLC. http://wholeearthsweetener.com/faqs/#collapse-3035 Don't recall seeing any statement of origin on the product's packaging, last I checked. Nor will you see Made in USA in any of the product images here. Suppose, then, that Whole Earth Sweetener Co is purchasing all of their erythritol from a US company. That doesn't necessarily say anything about product origin. The erythritol could be made elsewhere, shipped here in bulk, and repackaged in the US. Whole Earth Sweetener Co may or may not be aware of this. That issue imo goes squarely to business practices. It's the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and not the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that governs Made in USA labelling. Foods and sweeteners have no source-of-origin labelling requirements: U.S. content must be disclosed on automobiles and textile, wool, and fur products. There’s no law that requires most other products sold in the U.S. to be marked or labeled Made in USA or have any other disclosure about their amount of U.S. content. However, manufacturers and marketers who choose to make claims about the amount of U.S. content in their products must comply with the FTC’s Made in USA policy. https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/complying-made-usa-standard As Whole Earth Sweetener Co does not publicly disclose the maker of their erythritol, consumers are -- purposefully to my mind -- left in the dark on this. One quick swipe with Occam's razor: Were this erythritol made in the USA, then why wouldn't Whole Earth Sweetener Co clearly say so -- both on their packaging and in their published FAQ? By keeping mum publicly, Whole Earth Sweetener Co is certainly staying on the right side of applicable FTC rules. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this product contain any carbs? Thank you |
Answer: | Hi Ashley. I had dark red/burgandy hair from year of packet hair colors. It turned my hair irange at the roots then darker shades at different parts going down depending on when it was coloured. It would be the same for black hair just the end result wont be orange. My hair dresser friend suggested it to me and i saw her the next day and she colored my hair. She actually did foils to lighten it. So you mught need to color your hair right after. Actually you definately would. Please beware it smells like rotten eggs and dries your hair out but its worth it. |
Question: | What is the difference, if any, between the Lakanto Golden Sweetener and the Lakanto White Sweetener |
Answer: | The answer is complicated. This removed the particles from inside the hair shaft, but will not remove cuticle staining. There is no way to know if you have cuticle staining until you try it. Nothing removes cuticle staining. Only growing it out and cutting it off. I had a similar; though not exactly the same, situation. I had about 5 years of black dye and one of the layers was a purple/black. This removed some black dye, a fair amount actually, but not all of it. The top part of my hair where there was only a few layers, it revealed my natural hair. The bottom was a washed out black, and the mids were somewhere in between. The purple red shade became more pronounced through the mids. Basically to get back to your natural from several years of black, you will have to grow your hair out, but this did help quicken the process. That being said, if you have just one layer of black and you used a 10 developer, this may very well work fully. |
Question: | What is the percentage by volume of erythritol and what percentage is Luo Han Guo |
Answer: | Sorry no. When you color your hair blonde you are removing pigment from your hair not adding to it. Unfortunately you will have to die it with a light brown color closest to your natural color and wait for the roots to grow out. Or just let the roots grow out . |
Question: | What are all the ingredients listed for this product |
Answer: | You might need 2 boxes for thicker hair but it should help remove black. Black and red are harder to remove but the extra strength removed my red. |
Question: | Is there a ledgible Nutrition label |
Answer: | This should work great in getting black out |
Question: | does this work well with an air fryer |
Answer: | I used this on dry hair. I didn't shampoo that day. I had great results! My hair is short - long pixie and I had rainbow pinwheel hair that was previously bleached to level 10. So, a bit of a battle in my hair :) My hair was a little dry (naturally) but not as bad as I was thinking. Best of luck! |
Question: | How much cups does it make |
Answer: | I think it will, but I haven't used it personally on vampire red; just black |
Question: | How long does the product keep once you have made it |
Answer: | yes it needs to be mixed with a developer in order to work. my hair is super dark and I used a 20 vol. developer and it didn't quite lift the color off all my hair so if you have super dark hair it's in your best interest to get a 30 vol. and the instructions should be on the pack of how to use it and for how long |
Question: | Can this be used to make treats |
Answer: | Yes. It can remove anything! It removed all of the black from my hair. It's a great product. |
Question: | Does this have tapioca fiber in it seller only please |
Answer: | I wouldn't. That's a whole lot of stripping color. Really damaging to the hair. I would use this instead of bleach to limit damage. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why does this product have 3 gm carbs from 3 gm Erythritol on the label, and the same product sold in the 9.8 oz container states there are 2 gm carb |
Answer: | Actually you have your question backwards. The packet is a 2g serving and the product sold in the container is measured as a 3g serving. That is why the carbs ad Erythritol quantities are different. |
Question: | What’s the expiration date for this item, and is it a free returnable one or what??thx |
Answer: | IDK. Does not come in proper box, just hurled into shipping box. Pause before buying. |
Question: | What’s the box size |
Answer: | Its quite big and heavy. I can't give you the exact measurement as I already discard the box |
Question: | I do not like the stevia i want to send ba k and cansel any futher Shipment |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this have any "after taste" like some do? Thanks |
Answer: | Nope. No after taste like Stevia :) I love this brand of erythritol |
Question: | what is erythritol made from |
Answer: | Erythritol is: Fermented – it is made by fermenting the natural sugar found in corn. Heat stable up to 160 degrees C. Non-caloric – While most sugar alcohols are low calorie, erythritol has zero calories. Non-glycemic - Does not raise blood sugar – erythritol is considered suitable for people with diabetes because it does not raise plasma glucose or insulin levels. The easiest sugar alcohol to digest – more than 90% of erythritol is absorbed in the small intestine, so minimal amounts reach the colon where other sugar alcohols end up causing diarrhea and other symptoms. Studies have shown that erythritol is even easier to digest than xylitol. Noncarcinogenic– studies have shown that erythritol, like xylitol, does not have carcinogenic properties. An antioxidant – erythritol helps to fight free radicals, responsible for the aging process. It is considered to be even more efficient than other sugar alcohols because it is so readily absorbed and yet not metabolized (it is excreted unchanged). Source, see: https://bodyecology.com/articles/erythritol_what_you_need_to_know_natural_sugar_substitute.php They recommend an interesting product I have not tried. I am using a mixture of half erythritol and half xylitol, and so far I find that sweetener to be quite acceptable. |
Question: | Where is this sourced? U.S. or China |
Answer: | The source is important, pls be transparent. And made in usa is important, if the sources are from definitely will not buy. |
Question: | What is the difference? "Anthony’s uses cane sugar fermentation vs corn slurry fermentation |
Answer: | In both processes glucose (usually from cornstarch) is converted into erythritol. Anthony's Erythritol used to have a statement in their back label "Product of USA ...derived from cane sugar" but they removed this statement in mid 2019 when the compnay was sold. So it is now probably made from non-GMO corn in China or from from GMO corn in the USA. FYI erythritol is widely promoted as a natural sweetener for being found in nature but the store-bought erythritol is in fact a synthetic sweetener - it is not directly isolated or extracted from a plant or parts of a plant. |
