Answer:	I lived in Germany many years and found Eduscho Gala to be the best. Nothing was better than stopping at one of the Eduscho Kaffee Shops for a fresh cup on a rainy, cold German day. I know Dallmayr has a great reputation, but it was bland for my taste. I have learned to love Jacobs Kroenung , as well. However, both Gala and Jacobs have been disappointing recently. Either the coffee has changed or I need a new coffee maker.

Answer:	The expiration date was labeled as March of 2017 for the package I'd purchased in June 2016. This vacuum sealed coffee has always been very fresh and has a terrific aroma. Answer:	I have had the same problem with all shippers EXCEPT Jacobs as the shipper. It takes a lot of mishandling to break the seal and understand that it could happen but it seems that Jacobs knows how to handle their product and take care of their customers in doing so. I fell in love with this rich strong coffee, never bitter like American coffee, and you can tell by how much cream it takes to get the color and flavor you want!

Answer:	We enjoy this blend for breakfast. It's not bitterish like I find Italian espresso. It's dark and bold, but not bitter. This is all we buy now! Cheers!

Answer:	Thanks for your question. The code on the bag is a "best by" date, and it is a year from when the coffee was roasted. We roast to order for Amazon, send them coffee every week, and maintain an inventory of less than 30 days, so if the coffee is being rotated properly, it should be within a few weeks (if not several days) of roasting. How to brew the perfect cup of coffee:

Traditional Drip Machine: Add one level to slightly rounded measuring tablespoon (10g) of finely ground coffee (fine granular sand, not yet a powder) to each six ounce cup of water (177 ml)

Hand Drip Method: Add 8-10 grams of medium-fine ground coffee per cup. Heat water to 190-195 degrees, (88-90.5 c) pre-soak grounds, slowly add water in a clockwise motion. Adjust to taste.

French Press: Add 1-2 measuring tablespoons (10-20g) of coarse ground coffee per cup (177ml) of water and adjust to taste. Never add boiling water.

Cold Brew: Steep equal amounts of coarse ground coffee and filtered water in a covered container for 12-24 hours, strain coffee out and use cheesecloth or a paper coffee filter to remove leftover grounds. Add water to taste.

Answer:	No it does not produce any crema with a Breville Bambino espresso, although this is the first time I bought any coffee in ground version instead of whole beans

If someone thinks this is gross coffee I’d say maybe they didn’t use the proper amount of beans or they didn’t grind it right. This coffee makes Other coffees in the espresso shops taste like dirty water. It sounds like we are coffee snobs, maybe we are? But if I’m going to drink coffee I’d like to drink the best. If you want a great steak you buy the best cut your budget can afford, right? This offer is far less expensive also.

Answer:	The can is airtight, so I would guess quite some time, we go through it pretty quickly but freshness has never been a problem.

Answer:	I have the 6 cup moka pot and use about 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of the illy coffee. I would imagine that yours would require about 1/2 that - about 3 heaping teaspoons. I will say that I have been recently using LaVazza espresso in my moka and I find it to have a slightly stronger flavor, but is equally as smooth as the illy moka roast - and it is about $5 USD per can.
Question:	What's the difference between this product and the regular Illy? Is it just relatively coarse? Same bean otherwise
Answer:	Don't know about "regular" illy but this Moka ground coffee is finely ground and specifically for top-of-stove Moka pot where the boiling water pushes up through the finely-ground coffee and into the upper chamber. The can even has a picture of the Moka stove top pot on front of can. I think illy also makes an even finer grind specifically for expresso machines. I can really just speak to my experience with the Moka product.

Answer:	I guess you've seen several answers already; however, I've been ordering Jacob's coffee from different websites for years (mostly Amazon) and the length of the expiration date depends on the vendor. I typically buy 12 pkgs at a time. And, the dates are usually at least 5 or more months in the future. Occasionally, a vendor will offer a special on a lot that's expiring fairly soon; but these are well vacuum sealed and will probably be fine longer than it might take for you to use them all.
