Answer:	It works best above the tree line and high up, I am on the top of a hill, with nothing significant in between my antenna and the transmitters. Depending on where the transmitter antennas are located versus the mountains, you may or may not get decent reception. If the transmitters are close by, it may be worth a try. Have you tried rabbit ears? I used them first as a proof of concept. If rabbit ears pull in some signals, this will be far more powerful.

FSA 5809 is designed to receive terrestrial digital TV signals, which uses high-quality, low-noise MMIC design for digital terrestrial television weak signal environments. While its properties of high OIP3, it is also applicable to the strong signal environment, it can improve the signal receiving terrestrial digital TV set-top box or a digital TV set. This antenna is compatible with DVB-T/H, receive terrestrial digital TV signal DVB-T@, ISDB-T, ATSC-T ADTB-T and other different formats then.

Antenna Connection

Our antenna is pre-assembled, this step will take under 5 minutes.

• Connect the antenna top to the antenna input of the control box using any coaxial cable.
• Plug the control box power supply into the wall. The control box is the device that you point your remote control at to make the antenna rotate. The control box is usually installed next to your TV set.
• Connect the control box to your digital TV or converter box if needed. Remember, only old style analog TVs need a converter box. Scan for available antenna channels using the add channels option on your TV or converter box.

Perform a Channel Scan

• Mount the antenna on your rooftop for optimal performance.
• Consult related instruction manual to SCAN the channels if you use a digital converter box
• Find the setting option on TV menu. Set up the signal source to AIR/Antenna.
• After you set up the signal source, go to Channel Scan or Channel Manage to scan the digital channels.

Answer:	Find a Spot to Install the Grounding Block or Lightning Arrester. Attach the Block to the Wall. Run the Antenna Cable to the Block and Attach It. Run Another Coaxial Cable from the Block to Your TV or Set-Top Box. Attach a Grounding Wire to Both the Block and House Ground Wire.
Question:	Live in hill country that is heavily tree'd southern tier of NY, anyone with any experience
Answer:	It will probably depend upon where your house is situated, on top of a hill, or blocked by the hills. Also how far are you from the nearest metro areas with OTA broadcast stations. I live in CNY about 15 miles SW of Syracuse. It's a hilly area and I'm on a hill with a valley and another hill between my house and Syr. I easily get all the Syr OTA stations. I also get stations from Rochester, Utica and Watertown with this antenna. What I can't address is the effect of being situated in a heavily treed area. My advice would be to get the antenna and the separate mounting pole and test it at your house. If it doesn't work, return it.
Question:	My tv only has hdmi ports how do i convert the coax to hdmi

Answer:	Yes, I did this but I used a powered 4-way splitter. If you use a non-powered splitter, you'll degrade the performance.
Question:	Could you use coax cable that’s all ready in the house
Answer:	Probably, but if you have a bad picture check the splitters, which may be behind the wall plates, and make sure that they are for antenna and not satellite or digital cable. Also, it's best not to have excess lines connected, so disconnect any cable lines that you aren't using. (Think of it like splitting the flow of water from a hose, you want the most pressure possible in every line)
