They are fairly similar in other respects, but the $300 difference might be worth it if you afford the difference without suffering hardship. Both are in a different class than the KS6300's. The big leap comes if you look at the UN65KS9800. Aside from being curved (because they don't make a flat variant), the KS9800 has almost pixel level backlighting.
