You will need a hard drive and a video monitor or a tv with a HDMI cable to view the video you can pick up a 1 t hard drive and self install from Best buy for around $60.00 well worth the money it will record up to a year before having to be erased hope this helps I have two camera's installed outside so far and they work great!
