Answer:	This product does not have a hinge or a lock. I used two hard plastic cable clamps on the left side of the cage, to mimic a hinge. And, I added a hasp (3", from memory) to the wall on the right side and used a master lock to loop thru the hasp and the cage, so I can change batteries (without needing to remove screws). ((Beware, STI charged me a restocking fee for another cage I returned, even though there was a 100% refund policy..., so you might look for an alternative product from a more above-the-board company that stands behind their return policy.))

Answer:	Here is a SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) - it might work. Our Rex is pointed out our front door and if I run up to the door (not what I think a cougar would do) it doesn't bark until I'm right by the door (which seems a bit late to me). If I tarry in the driveway, about 15 feet from the door and talk with someone (like a stealthy cougar slowly approaching?) Rex eventually catches on and starts barking. My theory is that the further away the cougar is when the barking starts, the better the cougar is deterred. And my theory is the cougar would approach slowly. Ideally your cougar friend would have a fear of dogs. Now if the cougar considers dogs yummy, then Rex could be an attractant!
Question:	What is the perimeter range of the unit? If someone approaches from the back of where the unit is located will it still detect
Answer:	6-2-13 -- My unit is aimed from a bedroom through a stucco house wall to the carport where people approach my front gate. At full sensitivity my Rex II picks up activity at about ten feet ahead and four feet from the back. I only turn it on when I go out or if I anticipate solicitors, in which case I close the door to the room so the cats won't be scared, although they have become used to it.

Question:	I can't really see the back of the case. Is this sensor easily mounted in the 90-degree corner of a room, or must it be mounted on a flat surface
Answer:	I purchased two(2) of these in March of this year and tried pairing them with my Smartthings v2.0 Hub. They were both recognized as a Z-Wave Door/Window Sensors. I contacted support and Alex responded very quickly by changing it to a Z-Wave Motion Sensor and running the fix utility. Though the change was reflected on my mobile phone, it seemed to list both sensors as continuously detecting "Motion". Alex gave me some documentation to read while researching the issue. In the mean time it still wasn't working so I ended up excluding it and reincluding it several times. My first thought was that this device did NOT work with Smartthings v2.0 Hub, However, in frustration, I hid them underneath something and waited a longer time. What I found was that it reports motion for a MUCH longer period than the SmartSense Motion Sensor. With the SmartSense Motion Sensor I can sit still for a couple seconds and it will reset to "No Motion", with the Ecolink it stays active (i.e. detecting motion) for a much longer time (~4 minutes). Question:	Does this device re-broadcast the received z-wave signal? I've recently learned not all devices do this
Answer:	01/27/2015 - Yes! My Wink hub is now on software version 00.56, and both the latest Android (2.6.0.4) and iOS (2.5.0.3) apps can now create robots that respond to motion.12/25/2014 - Better, but still No. Downloaded updates for Android, iOS, and hub firmware yesterday. This appears as a motion sensor under the new sensors category in the app. Blue light on hub flashes green when motion is detected, and sensor status shows motion detected. But robots can't select the motion event as something to detect.12/7/2014 - No. If you use the hub's z-wave controls to include it, it will show up under Sensors as a generic Spotter. The app indicates that it's on battery power and has only motion and light sensing enabled. So far so good. But no signals are ever received.
Question:	Does it work with the SmartThings hub
Answer:	Turn the Ultrasonic dial to level "4" for the highest sensitivity. You can also select Option 1 for the Trigger Mode so that the sensor catches as much movement as possible.
Question:	Will this work with the Wink hub
Answer:	I did not. Just connect load to load, white to white, and ground to ground. If you it’s 3 way switch, also connect red to red.
