If you hold the board with the potentiometers up there is a row of resistors just below them. The one on the right being the photo transistor. The the body is clear, so it can detect light, that makes it easy to spot. It's placement on the opposite side of the board than that of the sensor, kind of makes it worthless. |

This provides a logic output that is high when it is triggered and low when on standby. The BISS0001 chip on this has the output pin rated for 10mA and it goes straight to the out pin on the board, no transistor used to handle more power. It can run a regular LED using a resistor to limit the LED to 10mA or less. Beyond that, you will need a transistor or solid state relay or some other setup to handle any amount of current. |

Probably your easiest, but maybe not the most accurate is to use the Analog inputs. I do recommend a simple voltage follower buffer between the HB100 and the Arduino input. |

C-TM: Adjust repeat trigger time (default 2 s). Adding a capacitor will give a longer repeat trigger time.
R-GN: Detection distance adjustment (default 7 m). Adding a resistor the detection distance will become shorter. If connected with a 1-MΩ resistor, detection range is about 5 m.
R-CDS: By adding a resistor (in parallel with the internal 1-MΩ resistor), user can change the light detection threshold as per individual requirement. This is applicable only when a light sensor is soldered in its pads (CDS) on the front of the circuit board. A 47–100K resistor works fine with standard 5-mm LDRs

Answer: | Yes it should, I used a pi 4 and the IO is the same. |

Answer: | There is information about the device that may help you. I used the these sensors in a table with the output going to a Raspberry Pi. I am not sure the device will drive much of a load so you may need a transistor to buffer the output. The board is labeled with +. , out so that should be easy to figure out. I believe the unit requires a minimum of +4.5 volts to operate so three batteries would work. The output is 3.3 volts but I did not find a value for the load capability and that is why I used a FET. |
