Answer:	I have not tried it in an extreme environment but the display is a liquid crystal device. I would presume that at extremely cold temperatures the segments simply would not change states consistently and therefore you would not get an accurate readout.

Answer:	This counter only advances the count when a magnet comes into close proximity to the probe. I'm not sure what you have in mind but you could possibly place the probe near the edge of a door and mount a magnet to the door edge. That way it would advance the count each time the magnet moved past the probe. This really isn't designed to be a people counter and would require some modification.

Answer:	It has 3 wires ... 1 common, 1 normally closed, and 1 normally open. If you want NC you use the common and the NC wire and if you want NO, use common and NO wire.

Answer:	There is not supply voltage to switch, it is a magnetic switch that switches from ground to open when the sensor is moved from the magnet.
Question:	What is the physical size
Answer:	No, they cannot be used with a serial connection without an additional device. Some other answers mistook serial for being wired in series, which they can be used in.
Question:	Are these switches normally OPEN or normally CLOSED? They are shown with 2 wires, but no mention of NO/NC in description. Thanks
